Confused buyer? Swift?City?Gli?

@ All,

Salam.

We are planning on purchasing a car after selling off our 2006 model City. As We already have an Altis I am a bit confused with what to buy next. Should we opt for a Suzuki Swift,the new City or a GLi? Really can't make up my mind so thought that I should I ask my brothers for some advice.

--But you are business man --- Go for the GLI or the new shape 1.3 rolla.

It depends on what you want.

If you want luxury,comfort and great drive (dont need trunk) go for Swift and If you want trunk go for city.
If you can somehow compromise on comfort but want resale Go for GLi (As you already have Altis,, go with either swift or city). But keep in mind that swift isnt good on CNG if you wish to drive the car on CNG.

There is no substitute for a bigger and better built car. Not to mention that a couple of years down the road, you can sell it at the highest possible resale amongst the 3 and upgrade to any car you want

If you can somehow compromise on comfort but want resale Go for GLi

If you will be driving the car within city or on well built highways...go for City; its the best in 1.3 class!

yes; cuz it remains comfy...the gear-shifts of City is best in this class..GLI is jerky...I bought GLI after keeping City for 15 months; could not bear GLI's gearshifts and sold it within the month...I am going to try 1.6 Cruisetronic next; lets see!

go for swift if you want a speedy hatchback otherwise gli as its very comfortable and nice looking car! city has got pathetic quality interior!its not because that city has got black interior but the quality of plastic is next to rubbish IMHO! HONDA FANS CAN HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION! plz don't quote my words! its just my thinking!thanx

Here is another point of view..

when you are driving on the road and you want that other people on road think its "your car"; buy Swift or City...GLI; people always assume its "family car"

Anyways; on a serious note; its not a good time to buy new GLI; if you can wait; wait for facelift GLI (rumors that its coming in March) City and Swift are fine; as Atlas has done what they wanted for 2011 City (have added arm rests and trunk light. For GLI; try to find used one; but for some weired reasons Corolla sellers usually have non sense demands; ~13.30 invoice price of 2009; and they are asking 14+. Only for this reason I booked new one...now thats something else that I didnt liked it afterwords (H)

Pros:BIgger trunk,fast pick,good fuel economy
COns:no high mount stop lamp,no trunk light ,poor built quailty and feels very cheap.
Swift
Pros:Alloys,bridgestone tyres,JVC with 4 speakers,better interior quality,SUperb paint quality ,Sporty looks,sporty grip.
Cons:Not so comfortable,not so spacious from rear,no trunk
Gli
Pros:A feel of bigger car,Luxury interior,Better interior quality you can feel that u have bought 1.5 million car,BEst resale among 3,NIce choice of colours,softy steering,good grip,MOST COMFORTABLE AMONG 3 ,Strong suspensions.
Cons:Slow pick among 3 ,Lowest fuel ecnomy among 3.
If you can afford Gli i will strongly suggest you to buy it as when you will sell it ,you will recover easily the money u spent on it having best resale and Luxury feel .Otherwise Swift if you dont want trunk otherwise CIty if you wanna trunk.

NO GLi shifts are not jerky I think you got wrong car or abused one as its most smooth among three and If you are arguing on hard gears than i agree that city gearbox is soft but When you will try honda civic it has the hardest gearbox among corolla or civic so it doesnt matter alot.Its just a handwork of hand.

Think out of box. Get a 1.6 auto Nissan Sunny Super Saloon for 14.85 lakh. 100 percent Japanese parts. Just drive one and then decide. Absolute value for money.

Next Chevy Aveo 1.5 around the same price as of Gli, City, but much much better in all aspects.

only cruze standing out side that is own by dealership owner

the car realy awesome but prices r:(........:o

If you want your friends and family members to say NICE CAR go for the CITY.

All the drivers in karachi are running Corolla and Swifts, but a Honda City/CiviC is mostly run by the owner or a car lover.
