yes - and the best advantage is that you get notified if any part is obsolete now or has been upgraded. Usually I found NOS obsolete parts of german cars being sold in Pakistan on new rates. Some of the new updated parts actually were lower priced..

and yes - you get the exact part if the dealer is using the parts lookup system, if the supplier is relying on desi parchoon technique like in Pakistan forget about it.

this sort of kameengi by the local karachi shopkeepers really irritates me, first they try to steal from you by trying to match a part from its shape etc and on top of that they try to overcharge you.

I have encountered obsolete part nos in new style Honda boxes - I asked them about if they knew they were selling fake items like this. They really got pissed off - I dont bother with such losers anyway. I have many times asked for a part for another car and got a "could not understand look" from them. e.g. the crush washers for sealing the diesel injectors in a VW 1.6 diesel engine are the same as MB parts because they both use the same KCA injector body - I used to get really expensive quotes from MB shops - while other shops selling volvo etc HD parts would sell them cheap - lol

Same kind of situation when buying toyota parts too - specially if its an oddball part for a Celsior, Windom sedan or something like that. I used to ask them why the eff do they always want to try dishonesty - how do they expect their business to be successful if they are trying to rob from their customers.

maiN ne jub kabhi corolla k liye parts liye wo malik autos se hi liye.. is baar bhai guard filter laaya us se.. maiN usay wapis karne gaya to kehta hai nahi aap k bhai ne 160/= main liya tha.. maiN ne kaha bhai aap ne 165/= ka diya tha.. lekin us ne 5 rs k peechhe meri na suni.. aur 160/= hi waapsi diye.. maiN ne ghar aa k bill dekha to us maiN 165/= likhay thay..

mujhe 5rs ka afsos nahi.. afsos yeh hai k maiN hamesha usi se samaan leta hon.. aur us ne 5rs ka bharosa na kiya..

Such practice is done by parts dealers to show that you have a "rare" part and it automatically becomes very expensive. Simply ask them for Indus corolla 1.6 GLi "enjun fondashan" - if they still ask you for sample - leave the shop, they are incompetent and useless.

The toyota xA series in a 100 series shell all take similar mounts. The E engines will take different mounts as the engines are narrower and the gearboxes are smaller too. As most parts dealers get some customers who dont know jack about their car they tell you to remove the mount and then buy it.

e.g. if you have a 5EFE engine in a E100 shell the mounts are different than if have a 5AFE in a E100 shell, both are 1500cc and both came in the same car. But if you are telling the shop owner you have a 5AFE engine they should not ask you for a sample unless they are lazy or dont know.

The Part No You Mentioned Is MIXED Plate

As Per I Can See......You Might Face Issues Putting Them Up....

Mixed Combo Of E Series And A Series Mount....!! Maybe They Fit...That's Why Part No Is Not Matching...

Engine Mount 12361 - 11181 = 5EFE mount

Engine Mount (Timing Belt Side) 12305 - 15040 = E engine - 5EFE engine mount

Rear Mount 12371 - 15241 - rear insulator - same for 4AFE, 7AFE and 2E

Engine Mount Gearbox Side 12372 - 11240 - E series gearbox mount - 2E, 5E, 4E etc.

If you got those part nos. you have a 5E engine (as you say its 1500cc), please note the first series of your chassis no. and post them here. If its EE, then your engine is E series, if its AE then your engine is A series.

Also read the engine no. from the block of the engine.
