Confusion on cultus efi vs vxr

As I have sold my civic 98 model recently. Now I want to buy a car which is economical and resale wise parts wise maintenance wise should also be easy as I I live in city and also for my long tours like going to village etc. Now I have two cars in my mind cultus efi and vxr. Vxr looks much solid to me than cultus in terms of build quality and also engine wise ac wise but I have heard it has the same petrol average as of civic. So that's a big no for me. So should I go for cultus efi then because as I am shifting from civic so drive comfort and road grip boot space are also my priorities. So please suggest me a family car in 1 million range. Fuel average must be great

two things,
VXR was a variant of Cultus Efi, so there's no such thing as VXR or EFI...
maybe you mean the carburetor 3 cylinder engine cultus vs the efi one ?

btw what fuel avg. were u getting in civic ?

cultus efi will give you anywhere from 12 to 14 in city

My civic became weak from the engine side. Engine was consuming Mobil oil. It was a swapped d13b engine of Honda city but the average was horrible may be 7 to 8 or may be less on petrol. CNG was also installed by the previous owner. Was decent on CNG. That was one of the biggest reason I sold it as it wasn't well suited car for city use and especially with a weak engine. get a well maintained EFI cultus even if its slightly older model. Look for a well maintained one. Carburetor cultus will be pretty old and will be headache to maintain.

okay, then your option is to go for EFI cultus... i think in 1 million budget you can find a good condition 2011-12 model ...

however, i've heard that there's this Chinese carburetor for older non-efi engines that can improve their economy anywhere from 15-16 to 18 kmpl in city drive...

Common guys, by VXR he means Alto. Its the usual terminology of pakistanis using VXR for alto and alto for mehran 🤣.
Coming to the point. In 1 million budget, go for an EFI car which has fuel avg of 15 or more whether it is cultus, Alto, or mehran. Nowadays, you may hardly find EFI alto (new shape 2014 model and above) in this budget. If you are lucky enough you will find a good alto JDM around the model 1998 to 2009 thats an efi. Mehran 2018-19 model is possible in this budget with good condition. Cultus VXR or VXL full option (2008-2016) is the best among these.
But remember one thing, all these cars can't compete the level of civic you owned. So you have to compromise on comfort here. Every car has its good n bad points.
