The cheapest tax option is to get a car that is a combination of:
Upto 1 litre
A hybrid
Has local variant
And that car is.... Suzuki Swift Mild Hybrid!
I think buying local might be most realistic option. As I’ve started getting quotes on shipping and working out taxes it looks less feasible to import. If time wasn’t an issue and I was staying one place then I would probably even drive the car over.
