hi everyone
i am facing a problem on my vitz 2008 while driving when the car changes its gear if i slightly touch an accelerator for a low speed driving a continuous sonud is coming like knocking(tik tik tik) . Dont know what to do?My mechanic says its a patrol problem i should use High Octane.. i have tried but the sound is still same.Any Solution

Car changes gear so its obviously auto.
Knocking is a sharp metallic sound produced in the internal combustion engine due to prior ignition of fuel. High octane fuel dont produce knocking. Only poor quality fuel do so.What mechanical work u have done recently????where from you refill petrol??what was quantity of high octane fuel??
This is a common problem in Vitz...the knocking whatever u try that sound will still be there

i have just change some regular things like engine oil and filter and transmission oil at 50000kms. i use to have it from shell at jinnah super. quantity was 30 litres.
Does knocking harmful for engine?
Yes continuous knocking is extremely dangerous. Pistons will be busted soon.
ignition timing needs to be adjusted. any chance CNG kit is installed & removed either way. Knocking is due to advanced ignition timing
How ignition timing is adjusted on dizzy less engine???
