Control Generator's Noise How?

Dear all,
My khala bought Jasco generator of 2.5 KVa but even that's place outside home but causing much noise

so can a nyone tell way to reduce noise.

do canopy reduce noise? in khi where can i made kanopi for it & really it helps in sound/noise reduction

if generator is bound inside canopy then will it not cause over heating issue or exhaust issue,

please help

keep the generator on the roof of home and if the home is 1 or 2 units, it will be very much better for noise reduction.

yup..i am afraid there isn't any clean method of reducing its sound.....actually u can find sound proof canopy in markets but those canopies are designed for different types of generators...aircooled engines would definitely have over temperature issues if they are kept in sound proof canopies.....

And beside all that..i have seen 2.5Kva generators they dont produce so much sound..even i have 2.5Kva china generator for more than 5 years and i live in appartments...i have placed it in gallery...they arent noisy

Best for u would be the repositioning...place it on the roof...that is a gud idea from Salman...

You can build a double brick shed and any opening should be away from your rooms, I mean towards the front road with no obstruction or rear if using at the back. avoid putting generator in places where sound waves reflect and build up e.g in porch the sound will build up. Keeping generator at the roof is good idea but you will get vibration sound if not properly dampened with e.g old tyres or tubes.

ok u have to make a box with outside wall of your house,,,, this box should have only opening towards the outside wall rest all should be closed except a door to start it....,,, if u make this box out of bricks than ok if using wood or metal than u wana put in sound absorbing foam on the walls,,,, also use a metal pipe attached to exhaust to direct the exhaust in up direction and this pipe should be long enough to reach the roof of ur house,,, below is a mock up... it might not be use full for u but for some one else with 6-8kva generator

Bro M soryy to say, I have tried all the things even i have installed a noise reducer muffler, which i bought from bohra peer saddar khi. My issue was almost resolved there was very little bit noise, But Unfortunatilly the noise reducer muffler make the engine very hot because 100% exhaust cannot possible on it.
After all my Generator Head Gas kit was leaked And then i had to open the Head, which was very ungracefull for me.

brothers there is shop near NIPA bridge thaT prepare customized sound proof canopy and one of satisfied client told that it would atleast reduce 50% noise

My dear Salmanali1 keeping the generator on the roof of the house is not the right solution.
There are better solutions to reduce motor noise. For example, this supplier generator noise reduction offers suitable materials to reduce engine noise

air cooled gennys need air to cool off, building a canopy around them will overheat them - find a watercooled one.
