It will not be that fast like charade but it would be far better then CVT Transmission performance.
Personally I prefer 2ZR-FE swap in vitz with upgraded front and rear end suspension along with Manual Transmission.
Vitz RS comes with R1NZ with Manual and both auto plus CVT tranny that's also best in performance but it's hard to find for vitz setup as the k311 hokked up on yaris R1NZ has a smaller Case then normal k311

What do you say about 2zzge in vitz. I've seen many swaps and where vitz was rs and had many performance upgrades. It was hell stable.

I personally prefer 2zr on 2zz as the 2zz is an old engine now. 2zr has packed more power if the power vs weight is calculated perfectly.

2zz is a beast but for vitz it's overpowered and needs alterations too for the engine bay I had done 7 2zz swaps in P90 vitz series but 2zr was more stable.

Packed more power? Sir na karo 2zrfe doesn't have vvtli... Vvtli and powered by yamaha. Its still the father of 2zrfe in every thing.. If its about your preference then its a different thing, I prefer 2zz.

But for balance and stability 1nzfe is a very balanced engine.

Hmmm comparing 14 year old tech with new one has lot of differences I love to drive a 2zr with supercharger upgrade I had driven a lot of them on autobahn. 2zz is a beast but 4 speed auto compromise it's performance.

If we tend to hook a new gen tranny on it like 2az and hook up the advance 4 bit shift program chip with 16 bit MPR microprocessor then it is a beast but no one pays in pakistan for that one single mod. Because these 2 mods costs 200% of the whole price of 2zz.

Yamaha along with TVIS system has packed a lot of punch power but they are old now. I am a fan of Yamaha powered Heads and I drive a daily runner 1G-GEU engine too but they have their own cons and pros.

Every engine has its cons and pros, like Im having QG18de under the hood, it's quick and smokes r18a and 2zr's like a piece of cake. It is very balanced.

But now I have bought a sr20vet, lying in my workshop. Now I can't stop myself from pulling out QG18de. Though it's amazing in every aspect... So it's absolutely

Aaahhhh QG18 the legendary engine it was a hype in pakistan back in 2012-14.
But Qg18 don't had that much torque like an zz series out puts.
I got and had tried it's different ecus from altima but at top end it dies.
A moded Qg18 with forced induction is better but for NA the MAF sensor design makes it laggy engine like NZ series.
I do had 1 qg16de aluminium Intake along with TVvt that engine has an awsum acceleration. 16de was an alternative like we have yamaha tuned toyota engines.

Sr20vet is a nice engine with turbo but it lags too much if you are running it on stock Nissan MAF sensor.
If you modify it with and piggy back or stand alone ecm with Map sensor setup then it's the toughest machine I had ever seen.
But every one has his own choice and taste.

I once was a fan of forced induction jz series but then I was exposed to toyota GZ v12 series and when I drove that machine I forgot the JZ series. I loved the torque and smotheness of that beast like it feels like jz series but more stable and more responsive then any other toyota Straight series engine.

I'm running a Russian variant of QG18de automatic with four strip ecu. Well QG18de has a very quick Acceleration. It pulls around 170nm on 2800rpm, killing any zz machine or r category. However top end is very slow, like it swings to 170 like a charm crazily. But after 170 it slowly moves to 180 and so on goes slowly.

And QG18de in na is also pretty quick since we swap in light weight chassis. Like b12/13/14 compared to a n16...

And btw where have you driven sr20vet? Which makes you comment on the lag?

Secondly I'm a big fan of deleting maf but here it's a genuine turbo producing 276hp.
It produces 330nm on 3200rpm which is a very shear torque on low end. And no engine can compete with this in straight 4T category.. Remember it's a stock motor.

If its built properly with upgraded turbo, fmic, piggy back ecu, fpr, map based system it'll cross 350mark which is alot... Visit me sometime for tea will take you out for a quick torque ride on a QG18de.

And you're right it depends on choice. Now no one ever tasted this motor in Pakistan. People have used sr20det in silvia one or two but not more than that. So it will be a good opportunity to promote neo vvl in Pakistan.

These engines are never ever left free even in japan or other countries, its a blessing to get it here

Aaaah all of the Qg18 uses the Russian varient ecu legend 4 strip. Back in 2011 we hunt for this as the whole engine was availble for 15000pkr

I had swapped 2 Sr20vet in n16 back in 2010 but it's pretty much tricky unless you get your hands on Consult 2 lots and lots of knock kicks in if the tcm is not synced properly.

Qg 18 is good in b12 but it's an old chassis now.
I Rembert our dearest friend @star travels weekly to wire up the Qg18 on Yousaf ustaad shop and he was crazy to wire it up.

No it does not, the Russian four strip variant is in less numbers and no one uses this, since it has many additional sensors compared to a jdm three strip ecu.
And i swapped a cd20 in 2011 for 25k. And at that time all petrol engines were for 25-30k complete, not 15k.

Kindly share me the photos of those two n16's, and any documents if made by you at that time, do you have wiring manual for that, mechanical workshop manual?.

Yes we also know about his some wiring projects. But let's not discuss it.

Hmm I was not involved in any workshop related stuff btw u do import those scraps back then. I sold those out of market engines for 10k complete on dry port. Guess what saddar mushtaq had purchased 100 if them from me and he has make good money from it.

My brothers Vitz 2010 1.0 L has started to give visible smoke and it is down on power too. Cat Conv removed a few months ago due to blockage. Life time token paid. Mechanic is suggesting changing engine to 1300 cc with the same transmission. Total quoted bill by him is 75000 plus with all labour and engine. Car is in ISB-RWP. I have read all of the above discussion but it has confused me more. Could someone give me a detailed authentic information about mechanic, 1300 engines, ECU reset, new wiring? Transmission? changing to 1300cc requires a lot of modifications, not just swapping engine.

A qualified person like @rajaatta can probably do it for you.
