I'm running a Russian variant of QG18de automatic with four strip ecu. Well QG18de has a very quick Acceleration. It pulls around 170nm on 2800rpm, killing any zz machine or r category. However top end is very slow, like it swings to 170 like a charm crazily. But after 170 it slowly moves to 180 and so on goes slowly.
And QG18de in na is also pretty quick since we swap in light weight chassis. Like b12/13/14 compared to a n16...
And btw where have you driven sr20vet? Which makes you comment on the lag?
Secondly I'm a big fan of deleting maf but here it's a genuine turbo producing 276hp.
It produces 330nm on 3200rpm which is a very shear torque on low end. And no engine can compete with this in straight 4T category.. Remember it's a stock motor.
If its built properly with upgraded turbo, fmic, piggy back ecu, fpr, map based system it'll cross 350mark which is alot... Visit me sometime for tea will take you out for a quick torque ride on a QG18de.
And you're right it depends on choice. Now no one ever tasted this motor in Pakistan. People have used sr20det in silvia one or two but not more than that. So it will be a good opportunity to promote neo vvl in Pakistan.
These engines are never ever left free even in japan or other countries, its a blessing to get it here
