Just for discussion sake, I have scanned through Engine Repair Manuals of 2LT adn 3L engines. As per specs, head and block of both engine is the same. Only difference that i could see was Bore & stroke, position of crankshaft lubricating holes (even connecting rods are same) and pressure of injection pump (lower in case of 3L) leading to higher compression ratio in 3L. Anyone who may have tried it, is requested to share his experience.
