Converted to petrol ANY IDEA OF MILEAGE OF MEHRAN?

(A).. i converted my mehran 2003 to petrol and had some issues regarding tuning and adjustment. but its running fine now mashaALLAH
plz can anyone tell me what's the mileage of mehran with fine tuning on petrol and CNG ..? whats the diffrence..? i feel my car runs only 12 KM on 1 liters of petrol is it ok?? dont know about the CNG milage of my car.. anyone have any idea???

2nd want to ask u that is it a good idea to sell out my Italian CNG kit??its in good condition ..what price should i ask for it? plz reply

mehran is a 800cc car and for that i think 12km/L is very low.. it must be more, but it really depends on how and where you drive.
and why are you selling the cng kit. in my opinion you shall keep both. and get your car tuned in such a way that it runs on petrol and cng both. when cng is available it is the best and cost effective method of running the car and when there is no cng you can use petrol

12-13 in city driving ...
car can be tuned in such a way that it can run on cng and petrol too ..

... perfectly tuned on cng gives like 150 km in one tank and gives like 12 on petrol ...

Generally 12 is the max Mehran, Alto, Cultus, Liana or Khyber can achieve on petrol. Exceptions are always there.

Mileage to me is excellent because you are driving in karachi city on long it will give 14-15 although mehran is 800cc but with 4 gears and technology of 80's it eats more fuel than modern 1300cc efi cars. So your mileage is good. Other thing dont sell the kit because in my case my mehran does 10-11 km/ltr on petrol and around 15-16km/kg of gas so gas is still cheap and will remain cheap until it surpasses petrol by atleast 10%

Mehran's petrol mileage varies depends upon driving style and traffic congestion in cities. In Lahore I got variable mileage from 11 to 14 Kmpl. Idling on traffic signals for long simply drinks petrol.

In carbi cars a lot depends how much accelerator you push and gear shift timing.

I prefer driving 1.3 Baleno over 0.8 Mehran when on petrol due to marked difference in economy !!

My mehran gave 30 /km on 100rs gas.Gas 74 per kg.Its good not bad.Though its 2011 model

Dear I am getting 21km Per Liter in City on My TOYOTA YARIS 1.0, and Even I achieved 26.2km Per Liter in City Also! Believe me or Not but I achieved it! I was also amazed by the performance of My Toyota Yaris 1.0 , it's a 2006 UK T3 Model

a decade before i find the average of suzuki FX which has same engine & gear as mehran , i connect a extra bottel with its fuel pump and put that bottel inside the cabin , rubber pipe runs from a small hole which is originally for the AC evaporator ,

any how i run the car half in local and half in high way , and i got the millage of 19 Km , with 3 passengers

I have Mehran 2001 model (petrol). It gives 16 -17 km/l in city.
"MZAHID" is absolutely correct that "Mehran's petrol mileage varies and depends upon driving style". Apart from driving style there are few things to get good mileage.
1. Air filter must be cleaned
2. Tyre air pressure
3. Accelerate car gently.

mention here about the cylinder capacity,is 50 or 55 wL.now the rates of kits and cylinders are goin down due to shortage of cng so it s ur luck how much u demand and what u get....what s ur mind to sell both ...kit n cylinder and how older is it must write me.mianmiaz@yahoo.com
