Converting a cultus from manual to Automatic

Salam all pakwheelers, I am posting this thread on behalf of my friend who has recently bought a cultus 2006 model having carburetor engine. As the title clearly says that he want to convert it from manual transmission to automatic transmission. So it will be grateful if someone sheds some light on the nessecary things to be done for this purpose as we are noobs. Kindly give an idea of estimated costs too.

Not sure but i think Suzuki had offered cultus with auto transmittion in early days . I have personally seen one auto cultus at some mechanic shop a year back.

3 speed auto gearbox for cultus were available in market sometime but none they are rear though the are of extreme short gear ratio

Can we swap m13 engine with its original automatic transmission in it. What alterations will it require?

Everything is possible but m13a is not recommended instead g13bb auto is a better choice for cultus

where can we find a g13b with auto tranny in ISB/RWP. is it a bolt on?

ideally, get swift 1.6 engine and gearbox and radiator.. it should work without tons of alterations in the engine bay..

u can install abs from the same donor, cultus brakes r pretty crappy already..for the suspension i guess so,

else u can go for a fulltime jugar, get a radiator and the gearbox.. u ll need to hunt that though,

we will need a half cut or nose cut of swift 1.6 ? How much it will cost. Any good and reliable mechanic, electrician for the job. Not the jugaarhye Jo sirf engine start kr k de den?

its better to sell the car and buy a car with original automatic gearbox

I remember seeing a lot of automatic gearboxes coupled to suzui G10 engines in Karachi shershah market, they were very very cheap too as no one bought them, if you negotiated good enough you could buy them at scrap weight price.

The problematic part is the TCU and wiring. The TCU was almost 100% missing from those shops - but you could hunt one from the dashboard scrap shops - its bolted to the dashboard upper pad support behind the glovebox.

In a project I did - I had to purchase about 2 dozen cultus dashboards, I removed about 6 or 8 TCUs from them and returned them to the shopkeeper. They thought it was part of the A/C - I told them its the TCU. They said - yeh kon khareeda ga? automatic cultus yahan nahi chaltee.

to be honest - that autobox is daft and clumsy and is direct drive - the 5 spd manual is far better.

The 5 speed manual is no doubt better than A/T, but the person who will drive the car is handicap (doesn't have left arm by birth). That's why Automatic is necessary. He cannot sell the car because he got it from a relative. So the only option left is conversion.

in that case - yes auto is necessary, start with looking up scrap markets - there must be some lying around somewhere.

M aren't bolt on cultus plus m are very heavy

will the A/T work good in carby setup or swapping the engine with efi one will be more good?
