Converting E140 XLI to Altis

This may sound super weird but please don't judge. I was looking at corolla E140 prices on Pakwheels and this is what I found. Average estimates.
XLI priced 2.1 million
GLI priced 2.3 million
Altis 1.6 or 1.8 for 2.9 million

Now I am trying to act smart here by buying an XLI 2009 for 2 million and then conveting it into Altis design only. I am not at all concerned about resale/value or whatever. All I want is it to look like a shiny Altis.

Replacement parts include:
Steering Wheel
Speedometer
Auto windows
Door cards
Side Skirts
Bumper Kits
Fog lights
Front grill
Headlights & Backlights
Altis Rims

I believe this + mechanical/cosmetic work shall cost 250k. Is it smart to go with option? I am not concerned about the engine and transmission. I know sounds weird but looking for experienced people comments on this experiment. In this way I can get Altis design in 2.3mil?

You can do whatever you want cosmetically to the car if you like how Altis' look. But it will still be an XLi.

I sold my GLi to someone who did this, car looks like an Altis, but it's still a gutless 1.3L.

If its just about the “SHOW SHAW” of having an Altis then go for it .
Let me assure you there is tons of performance difference between 1.3 and 1.8 .

Thanks for the inputs. I better buy a cheap 09-10 Altis then and make it mechanically/cosmetically fit to get real power. Otherwise I'll end up swapping my 1.3 engine with 1.8 engine if I buy an XLI
