Coolant overflow tank

Everytime I drive there is a small amount of coolant which has spilled out on the sides of the cap on the overflow tank.
It was near low on tank and still spilling.

I've changed the radiator cap but still not solved.
Radiator was cleaned about 8 months ago.
Water pump changed about 6 months ago.
Mehran has 67,000km on it.
No heating issues.

Anyone know a solution for this?

its the radiator cap ... seems like rubber sealing is not upto the mark when hot.

I just fitted a new one 3 days ago.
Could it be the overflow tanks cap?

Yes it could be...
And upto where you fill the expansion/overflow tank?

I fill it between max and min line when engine is cold. Still keeps spilling out of top of overflow even when near min line.

Can overflow tank caps be purchased separately or only the whole tank?

They are available separately...

Just fo the test whether it is expansion tank cap or radiator cap i will suggest when radiator is cool remove any coolent from expansion bottle... then drive till it attains normal temp ... and before it check if expansion bottle cap is connected in wrong / opposite direction...

I'll try out the tanks cap first, in case I run low on coolant.
Where can I buy tank caps from, normal part stores?

The end which is not tilted should be connected with radiator...

yes the tilted end should be open to air and the straight one should go to radiator fill neck, also make sure the tilted neck has nothing connected to the inside port.

In front and behind the cap.

I keep cleaning it, so not very visible currently although there is a slight amount more each time I drive.

Hmmm.. when coolant leakout does the cap of expansion bottle brust out?

And what is the level of coolant in it at that time...

I mean to ask that does coolant comes out due to pressure or due to overflowing...

If case one then check if there is any exhaust hole on the top of cap which is clogged...

If case 2 then try with keeping this bottle with very low coolent just till low mark....

Cap doesn't blow off.
Overflow happens with any amount of fluid as far as I can tell.

I've bought a new tank, I'll fit it after engine has cooled down and see how it goes.

I have to keep topping up reservior in a week or so, I thought that's too much?
At the same time I also bled the system "burped" may also help out?

does the reservoir fill up and spill over? or are you just seeing some liquid on the top and the tank level is correct?
