Thermostat valve installed.
I recently faced this issue while driving car. Engine swifted off on signal while reaccelerating and when it turned the self to start the car I saw smoke coming out of engine bay and smell of burning as well. I suspected something really bad has been done but when I opened the bonut I saw coolant was actually thrown out of overflow pipe which caused smoke and smell. Upon return I opened reservoir bottle cap and radiator cap and there was no coolant in the reservoir bottle while the coolant level in radiator was also little lost. What could be the reason for this? The heat Guage was in middle when this happened.
