Cooling system flush

Need a guide on how to flush Mark x cooling system, As I can't remove the T-stat valve and engine block drainage plug. The water pump was changed like a week ago it had a leak and the mechanic used plan water to fill up the system. So wanted to do a coolant flush to remove all the rust and gunk in the system. Already bought Critic acid in powder form.

As I can't remove the T-stat valve

why cannot you remove it?

Odd place can't reach all the screws.

take it to a workshop and let them flush it, or buy all the right tools to do it correct. You will also need a hydraulic floor jack and jackstands to lift the front of the car in order to remove the plastic panneling underneath and reach the radiator drain and also block drain.

Will do any specific place in Karachi that do these kinds of work. All I have seen is open radiator cap remove radiator drain plug let the water run out and then add new coolant they don't even burp the cooling system khudi ho jata hai that's what they say.

where do you have your car regularly maintained? - any one shop or you look for a different shop every time?

The Mechanic I go to did the jugar that I mention above he can't do it. According to him, that's the correct way which gets the seal of approval by his 20 years of experience, That is why I wanted to do it my self.

If your mechanic is useless and no others exist to help you then go buy some tools along with floor jack and jackstands,

You will also need a soft rubber pipe to use hose water to purge the acid flush from the engine - the water hose is connected to the heater lines to push the acid flush from heater and behind thermostat.

1 or 2 small shallow tubs to inspect the debris coming out.

a source for hot water to prepare the citric acid and also use it as flushing motive.

And about 4 hours time along with some clothes you wish to throw away, some gloves and goggles to protect from burning.

Distilled water or Tap water which one should be used with citric acid.?

for flush, hot tap water is used to mix the acid
