I totally agree to the point of Salrzae. The 1st thing is just to correct ourselves and then try and influence people around us. This can take ages but if we dont do this the reslut is in fornt of our eyes. We will not be left alone believe me. I have been living for 3 months in Europe and observing things very closely. We really need to wake up...

Meanwhile here are some pictures from inside the museum made in the Roman Watch Tower. This museum is dedicated to the Islamic era of Spain and Andalus. I was amazed to see the transformation. Early history of that era speaks of warriors, scholars, doctors etc. And the late history speaks of dancers, musicians, drunkards, palaces, etc... You can guess yourself!

The surgical items used by muslim doctors in the 8th century. They were perfoming complex surgeries and their techniques were used for as long as upto the 20th century in Europe

Model of Masjid-e-qurtaba as it was in the Muslim era. The room in which this model is displayed has a window from which one can see the actual buliding. Very emotional. All this is inside the Roman tower maybe more than 1500 yrs old posted in the earlier pic

Pictures of a Muslim Caliph residence which is now called as residence of Christian Kings. Its old name is Alcazar or Alqasar in Arabaic

See how they have preserved what was of use to them. And this whole area is in UNO world heritage sight and they are even making money now because million of tourists visit this area.

Now have a look what is the present situation. Europeans carried on with what the Muslims left behind... result they are developed. This is Cordoba train station and it is not the best train station as it is smaller

The residence of the Khalifa is the very reason why we are reminded that we shall take nothing with us just our deeds. But the muslims had forgotten this that building huge buildings or houses for ourselves is not the solution to entering the Jannah but adverse problem. The conversation of the Mosque which once used to be the Capital of the Islamic world brought tears to my eyes but the residence took them away.

I agree with you partially that buildings and monuments is not everything, but they are important if they are done not for personal glory but to celebrate the glory of religion and empire or caliphate. One thing that I noticed that the buliding style of the Muslims shown in the pics was much better than what the Christians Catholics did afterwards in their Gothic style architecture. Muslims buildings celebrate Allah, unity, nature everything...

Question: Qurtabah Mosque is still mosque with a Cathedarel built in the middle, but do they still pray their on daily or weekly basis?

Its sad indeed that the mosque's been turned into a church. I guess thats what they got for kicking our asses out of spain. It makes me happy that our holy mosques were their trophies.

We're not immune from taking other places of worship either. On the flip side in the west, the easiest way to build a mosque is to use a church. It happens everywhere.

Only Catholic services are held here. Namaz was stopped here in 13th Century. It is called the mosque unofficially and its famous for this name. Officially its just a cathedral.

You have your own views... but I would like to mention something that the example you quoted about Churches being converted into mosques in Europe; they are only done with the consent of the authorities and community and the authorities give the permission to use some old church as a mosque because otherwise they have no use for it. Very few people go to the churches here anyway.

In Cordoba there was also a Jewish Synagogue in the Muslim era which is still a synagogue and it was not touched by Catholics.

Thanks, for the clarification. For them to loose a church, has no value but for us to loose a mosque is worse then loosing a life coz it is the House of Allah after all, not just the place to worship facing the Qabah. So hence the sadness and boiling of the blood.
