Hi,
I visited Spain just to go and see Cordoba and visit the Masjid-e-Qurtaba. That was an amazing and emotional experience. This was the place where the Muslims from North Africa Started their empire Andalus in 8th century and ruled for almost 4 hundred years. That era when most of central and western Europe was in dark ages they had running water, streets, canals, hospitals, irrigation system, libraries and everything. They were the ones who taught Europe most of the things.
Masjid-e-Qurtaba which is now called Mezquitta Cathedral was one of the most beautiful and massive building built by the Ommeyads. Actually everything else from the Muslim era was destroyed only two buildings this mosque in Cordoba and Alhamra in Granada are remaining. Otherwise the catholics finished every trace of Muslims from this area.
I am not posting these pictures just for beauty but I also hope that we should be able to take some lesson out of it
