Core i vs dual core

Aoa. clock speed of both processors are measured in Ghz....some times we see even core i series have also 2.8 Ghz speed same as core to duo so what is the difference?

Difference is the no. of cores.
Core to due got 2 cores while core i3 got 4 cores processor. Same speed core i3 processor can perform more tasks then core2 due because of more cores.
