Guys

I have option to by one of these, 1.3 Auto or 1.6 Auto?

Which one you guys prefer, all I need is comfortable and more economical, since my mom has to pay for fuel

Driver will going to use, no racing just need as a spare one. It will replace my current Vitz 2008.

Kindly advise.

This discussion has been going on in almost every thread int he corolla section.
Just go through them and make up your mind.
At the end it's you who will use this car.

I wanted a 1.3 Gli Auto, but opted for a 1.6 Altis Auto in the end. And I'm glad I did.

Had similar kinda situation here myself...
Had Gli 1.3 M/T in mind but when went to book one, dad showed concern in A/T. So did a bit homework and found Altis 1.6 A/T to be better choice... Considering the body is too big for a 1.3 that too with A/T... Delivery expected in July

And mileage of 1.6 being dual vvti is almost the same as of 1.3 (dealer suggestion)

I had the same option, but I went for 1.8 Altis cvt-i cruisetronic.
Price difference is 2-3 lacs, but it got all the goodies of Altis. Powerful engine and a great fuel economy.

1.3 corolla is not that good and has poor fuel economy when compared to 1.6. i once drove my friends corolla 1.3 auto and car was just 5k driven and sluggish as snail.

Driver will be driving it and fuel ave preferred too. Then eyes closed - Gli M/T

Between 1.3 Auto and M/T , M/T has a better fuel ave in city on high way both are same.

Is the current gen corolla gli available in a 1.6 variant? I havent seen any.

If your priority is average then go with 1.3 MT, personally i dont have any experience with 1.3 AT if we compare 1.3 MT N 1.6 AT there is a huge difference in average in city 1.3 MT gives more or less 570km n 1.6 AT gives more or less 440km

Many Drivers are better with manual , if you need to give it to driver and not drive yourself then GLI 1.3 Manual will be a wise choice.
If you still want auto , go for 1.6 altis

It is a huge car, i have tested 1.6 AT and i feel it lacks power. I cannot imagine it in 1.3AT

Yes but still it is an altis. I really feel toyota should just have put a gli badge over it rather than the altis ones. Cuz if im right it doesnt even have airbags only 1.8 variants have it. Am i right?

It does not have airbag foglamps. But still the price increase is justified 🏻

1859k for 1.3 Auto
1994k for 1.6 Auto

For 135k you get
Altis badge
1600cc automatic
Dvd screen with reverse camera
Genuine toyota alloy rims
And an option of Super white color which is not available in gli or xli varients.

we got both, 1.6 altis a/t is much better than 1.3 a/t in fuel economical, power and come with reverse camera/screen with rims as well...price difference is almost a lac
