Corolla 1.3 gli A/T fuel economy issue

My corolla 1.3 a/t , 2017 model 22000 driven used to give me 10 in city and same on long route but from last 1000 kilometers the aveg has dropped to 7-7.5 km/litre........m very pissed as I live in small city where thers no 3s dealership only locally mechanics who know nothing regarding this issue...what could be the problem.....plz help

Have you changed the air filter?

Same happened with my mom's corolla. Problem was 20w-50 Toyota oil which just could not handle the heat and recommended 5000km oil change. As a result, the car was burning oil and hence the throttle body and intake manifold were all dirty affecting the fuel economy and also power.

You can check if you have the same issues.

The avg on GLi AT is the poorest of all Corolla variants. You will have to live it. To get even 10 you need to get quality petrol and clean, change air filter element frequently because in dusty environment it gets chocked early.

Yes but the prob is it gave me esily 10-11 with moderate driving(neither harsh nor soft foot) for almost 20k k/m......and to be frank I was quite satisfied with this...but from last 2k km it dramatically decreased to 7-7.5 .....I change air filter what else should I lookupon?

Tire pressure. Fill 2 psi more.

Bro visit the nearest 3S and have the engine tune up. My brother's 2016 gli auto gives him 10 km/litre on local and 14 km/litre on long.
