So auto. geeks, I bought a Corolla 1.8 (2015) at 107k km (genuine) from the first owner. The AC compressor had already been replaced.
After buying it, I replaced the spark plugs, got the fuel injectors and fuel pump cleaned, and changed the CVT oil twice as per the Toyota manual. I then shifted to Islamabad and visited different northern areas within a year. In total, I traveled 17k km, during which I only changed the engine oil and filters at 5k km intervals. I’m using Toyota Taglon 10W-40.
Now I’m back in Karachi, and the odometer reads 125k km. The car is giving me only 8 km/l in traffic. I have to change the engine oil and filters again, but I don’t understand why the average has dropped so much.
Is there any good workshop in Karachi that can diagnose the issue? I also need to change the wheel bearings since I hear a humming sound. Any expert advice would be appreciated.
