@@ aashiq !! yaar, i got your point, but sorry buddy, its not like that that the mileage of both the cars would be same at the speed of 90!! Offcourse dono sath chaleingey, lekin fuel mileage same nahi hogi!! The reason is that the power of the engine!! Keeping all the other factors constant, 1.3 engine consumes, less fuel and 1.8 consumes more fuel! Thats one thing!! Now some times if u compare 800 cc with 100cc or 1300 cc, sometimes 1000 cc or 1300 cc will give better mileage than 800 cc!! Here the reason is not the engine only, but certain advanced mehanisms in certain vehicles results fuel effiecieny! (probably EFI and etc). Fuel efficiency is dependent on number of variables including: engine power cc, size of the vehicle, aerodynamical shape, gear shifting habits, appropriate speed on appropriate gear, weight carrying in the car or number of passengers, number of times breaks are applied, timely tuning of vehicles, type of fuel you are filling for e.g Hi Octane or Supreme!! tyres/allow rims of vehicles, rush hours or free roads, taking more picks or accelearting the vehicle more, every time after break!! Even recent research suggest that even the weigh of fuel on your tank will also effect your fuel mileage of car!! For exampel keeping all other things constant, if someone tank has 10 litres and other one's tank has 50 litres, the per liter average of the one having 10 litre fuel in tank will give better mileage ( The reason is that the weight also affect mileage)
@ s65amg......... I also heard that SE Saloon was discontinued becoz, it had some faults too!! but those could be rumours too!! The one main reason i think is that of the competition!! ALTIS has direct competition with Civic and New Civic now only comes in 1.8. So here they applied copy and paste strategy!! However in case of XLI/GLI , the indus dictates its auto industry!! and forced ( by competiton) its competitior City to decrease the price!! now again the price of city is less than xli. Though before budget it was higher than xli.
@@ Hedges! Pz do read the factors affecting fuel efficieny, i marked to aashiq above! If you eavaluate one car over other in fuel efficiency, the parameter should be such, "if one factor is compared for e.g egine power, other factors should be kept constant (unchanged, mean rest of the things in both cars should be same)" , to give the true idea!!
All Above comments are based on Petrol, not CNG ( As i never used and study CNG Vehicle)
