Corolla 2010 altis crusisetronic 1.8 SR oil query

Which oil should I put in my corolla 2010 1.8.. it has around 85000 kms on odometer.. gave my car to toyota central and they put TOYOTA MOTOR OIL PETRON API SL/CF 20W-50 oil in it... since then I feel the drive has become a bit heavy... can anyone please guide..? Should I continue this oil only or some other ?

Is it giving any smoke ??
Any reduction of oil??

Purchased it a bit used like 7-8k kms in 2010, no smoke.. no oil reduction.. gave the car to toyota central for maintenance they used 20W-50 petrol toyota motor oil.

It was cng kitted when we purchased.. we removed it immediately after the purchase.. since then running on either normal petrol or high octane.

I suggest 10w-30 by Caltex / Havoline, or preferably, 10w-40 fully synthetic by ZIC, would suffice.

Just ensure oil is authentic, and change oil + oil filter after every 5,000 kms.

For oil change, you need not go to Toyota dealerships, and / or only use Toyota genuine oil.

Caltex / Havoline, Shell, Total, KIXX, ZIC, etc. are great, value to money oils to choose from, in local markets.

Have they always been pouring 20w-50?

If YES, then did you not feel heaviness previously?

Why you have started feeling heaviness now, when your vehicle has been on 20w-50 since 2010, if I am not wrong?

This was the first time they poured this oil.. before this it was else..

I don't think from 2010 it was using 20w50 because no one puts 20w50 oil in new car.

Avoid total as it is a french company,all of the above oils are good oils.

What's the engine health? Do you observe any oil consumption, or smoke form the exhaust, etc. (GOD Forbid) issues?

You can also tell them to pour Toyota Petron Plus if you only change oil from Toyota Dealership. Max you can use upto 10w40 thats enough not thicker than that Toyota Dealership pour 20w50 in all older cars regardless of its health

Zic is good you can also use its 10w30 but recommended is 5w30 if your car is ok with that then use it regardless of others are saying

Ok. In your particular case, I would only suggest 10w-40 fully synthetic by ZIC.
