Corolla 2010 XLI Raditor Fan Problem

AOA ! Recently i bought used corolla previous owner direct the radiator fan and also made some changes with AC compressor for radiator fan. Now i changed back raditor fan to direct by connecting it to ECU but now iam confused/ facing problem that i took short run of 6~7 KM but radiator fan not start and temperate gauge maintained at half position.

Radiator Fan is on auto setting
when AC compressor engaged the radiator fan start at low speed with manual/ desi setting from two different relay installed by mechanic.

IMO, its perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

Radiator fan kicks in, as / when reqd. the cooling system is not designed that its always on the run.

As long as the needle stays in half, nothing to worry about IMO.

Problem may be; when needle starts going up from the middle, and radiator fan does not kick in.

I do not get it.

Have it checked from its relevant expert ASAP, so as to avoid any problems in the future.

Yes, I also didn't understand completely. Maybe the electrician did some alteration to change speed of the fan or maybe it is just a suspicion of the member.

I think complete cooling process should be observed after the recent re - work. With the fan working on auto and coolant flowing through the system, does the temperature come down and fan stops thereafter? If that's the case then no need to worry.

@basitali87 @UAHMAD actually i check it my self for AC electrician installed a rely in fuse box which kick the radiator fan bypassing the system. one wire from this realy directly goes to fan ( two Wire Connector) to run the fan.

Again, I am a little bit confused. So, I read again your earlier post.

If that is the case, then the fan shall start only when the temperature gauge goes above the half level.

Does this mean that the fan starts as soon as the A/C is switched on?

As I earlier suggested, please observe the complete cooling process. If you are still dissatisfied and believe that the alteration done by the electrician has disturbed factory settings then take your car to a good mechanic to restore original settings.

This is Fine. i have 2012 Corolla and it have same Habbit

Car Fan will not Activate until Car Temp gets to Heating Temp for ECU to activate the FAN

When you Turn on the AC the Radiator FAN will run on Slow Speed and then gradually will turn on full Speed When you will Drive it So its Normal Behavior
