Hello everyone. I got corolla 126k driven. Recently a bike hit the car on the right driver wheel and the steering wheel got affected.
In short; Kangi or steering rack needs to be either replaced or repaired. I believe it can be repaired since the chimtaas are okay.
The shocks also need a replacement and I cant seem to decide who should I go to and how much expense would this cost in Lahore?
I checked the dealership and they gave me an estimate of 500k. LOL . Obviously I wouldnt spend this much money on a 13 year old car. From what I research, it is not recommended to buy chinese steering rack as it only lasts 2-3 years. Not sure how true is this. Should I get it repaired? If so, where from?
For the shocks, I believe agriautos are genuine for corolla gli 2012 now. The front cost 22.8k and the shock mount is for 14k. Not sure if I need to replace the shock mount. The rear shocks have leaked oil so they also need a replacement. The rate is around 18k.
Can someone recommend me what should I do? The camber also needs to be adjusted. Not sure if it is needs camber caster. I was told that when they’ll open up and install shocks then they will decide.i wanted to get my alignment done. I went to Ishaq(Walton road) and raji (GT road) and both identified the same issue. Ishaq also told to get the ball joints changed whereas Raji guys told that they were fine. I read online on some forum that if I do decide to change the ball joints, it shouldnt be chinese and I should only buy oem. I did ask Osama car care and he quoted me 22.8k for agriauto shocks front and 36k for KYB shocks.
