Corolla 97 engine replacement

I want to replace rather than repair my corolla 97 engine. Current Engine is 3rd gen 5afe 1.5cc. Please give me suggestions for kabli/imported compatible engine models, prices and availability in karachi or where i can get at good price.

Why not rebuild?

I heard that it is better to replace than rebuild.
Also after rebuild engine will not be as good as genuine one.

No if done properly, Rebuild lasts.

rebuild with new parts. use correct engine oil grade, manage maintenance interval at 7000 km for oil & filter changes., engine will cross 300000+ kms without problem.

engine at scrapyards are there for a reason, with unknown history and unknown variant of vehicle it has been taken down from. Swapping of engine require legal endorsement over registration book as well.

We as a community encourage the members to do the stuff which other people don't wanna do.
The oem recommends to rebuild it.
