Corolla Altis 1.6 Auto Or Axio 1.5 Auto

Aoa fellows. I want to buy automatic car for weekly use which includes 80% motorway and 20% city driving. At the time I'm using 1.3 GLi 2013 model. As per the traffic situation in Lahore, I want to buy automatic car b/w Corolla or Axio. Kindly guide me that which car is better and why. I'm talking about 10 gen (crystal lights) 2011-2014 version because I personally do not like the 11th generation Corollas shape from it's back, and I also feel 11th gens road grip a bit less then 10th gen and a friend of mine was saying that grip problem was solved in face uplift. Kindly guide me about.

Bhai, it all depends on you. Axio would have more features such as Cruise Control, climate control, airbags e.t.c (in the G model I guess) which would be missing from the Corolla. The build quality would also be better in the Axio.
I personally like the look of 10th gen Corolla more than the Axio. Conclusion is that you should get the one that you like.
Both would also have the same mileage on motorway.

Axio is much much better in features but look wise its nt that good i feel plus finding a good one is also hard... Corolla is evergreen go fr 1.6 or 1.8 cruisetronic

Ok, here are my opinions:
1) Not sure about the average. My Axio used to give me around 11-12 KM/L and I think Corolla would give the same too (Intercity driving).
2) Yes, 10th gen Corolla has far better road grip than the 11th gen. My cousin recently upgraded from his 10th gen to 11th gen and felt a drastic decrease in the road grip. I'm not sure about it's pick.
3) Personally, I would choose the 10th gen Altis as it looks far better than the 11th gen. The rear of the 11th gen looks too high and it has a hideous wheel gap.
4) No, this is where I'll disagree. Axio still has a better resale value just because of being japanese. A 2008 Axio G would cost around 16 lacs while you can easily get a low mileage completely genuine 2011 Altis 1.6 (base model) for about 16.5 lacs.

Buy an Axio Hybrid 2013 or later. Atleast in l Lahore you ll get really good fuel economy. Say higher than 18 kmpl. On highway it will return the same. Plus it has longer maint intervals as engine works for like less than 75 percent of time. So combining both advantages you ll get the running costs really low.
