I have never driven a 6-speed manual before, so I wanted to ask people who have used the current 1.6 Altis to share their experience. I would like to know how the quality of the gearbox is in general, how smooth is the transmission, is each individual gear have its fixed position while operating the gear stick like in Rebirth or 2006 2.0 D Corolla, or is it a little flexible, and overall how much of a difference there is between the 6-speed of Altis 1.6, and the 5-speed in 2.0D and Rebirth. Would also appreciate an overall review of the car.

Edit: I'm sorry, for not being clear. My question specifically was about long routes or travels, for instance Karachi to Islamabad. My main query is about whether there are any issues or faults with the 6-speed transmission in Altis 1.6, and also how it performs, as in, 5-speed transmission like 2.0D or Rebirth have to operate at rpms of 4000+ on motorways which also results in the engine being loud (I prefer to drive with a lighter foot with rpms around 2000-2500, so I wanted to know how the Altis 1.6 6-speed maintains speeds of more than 120 km/h.
