Corolla altis 1.6 OR altis 1.8 cruisetronic

I wanted to buy 1.8 cvt cruisetronic in pre-facelift model because of cvt n wow metre ....but now as new facelift 1.6 has wow metre so m confuse to book cruisetronic or 1.6 as now m also thinking about resale for which 1.6 is better.....now the only difference is CVT , is it worth the 2.5 lac more? N how is the resale of cvti cruiseteonic? Pls advise

If resale is an issue then 1.6, otherwise 1.8 Cruisetronic offers much more goodies and better driving experience accelration and fuel economy. It is just not CVT-i but a better more powerful engine, rear seat folding, reclining, better infotainment system and many other features like cruise control, fog lights, auto leveling LED projector headlights with DRLS, web cam, front cam, trunk tray, sports mode.

The prefacelift scenario was different because at that time 1.6 was no different than a Gli.

1.6 now is very adequately packed with features and is the best buy for people who keep practicality in mind.

I agree 1.6 is the best buy...... automatic, reasonable feautures, resale...... resale wise Gli tops, but I guess in automatic version people are now preferring 1.6, 1.3 is too underpowered

M filer so cruisetronic ld cost me 25.5 lacks apprx......now lets say if I want to sell after one year n regarding low sale value of 1.8, would I be able to sell it till 23lacs or even more less?

You'll be able to sell it easily at the price of 1.6. That's my guess only.

If resale is the major concern, go for Altis 1.6 otherwise, Altis 1.8 all the way.

If you plan to enjoy the car and keep it for 3 years or more get 1.8, it's a better car. As for resale, well with new models it's not bad, if you keep it in good condition you can sell it for a good price.
Might not sell as quickly as the 1.6 Altis, but might do if it's in good condition.

I was also confused at the time of booking due to VSA and CVT features.
Shukar Alhamdulilah I select 1.6 altis and now i am using it as daily runner since 17 august 2017 . Brother believe me I am very very satisfied. All necessary goodies are included in 1.6. and it gives me 13 plus KM/L avg in bumper to bumper rush hours with AC. pick is far better than 1.3cc. gear shifting is very smooth.
I must say its very good and practical choice.

Guys I was also confused to book either of two altis but this thread has given some clarity.
I don't have issues with mileage. But what are the features difference in both other than cruistronic ?
And what's the booking date you are getting if you book it today ?

yes cvti is much better....but only in jdm cars...local cars not much diff....

I have booked 1.8 cruisetronic and really happy with my decision ...not thinking about resale now just want to enjoy my ride
