Corolla altis grande facelift stock tyres performance

Hello everyone i hope everyone is OK. I have one question i hope i can get better answer. I have facelift grande almost 1500km driven but i am not happy with the tyre performance. I had Pre face lift grande which i sold after 100k km but i am feeling more stiffness and hard feelings when car go on rough road. I was very happy that imc introduced imported Tyres but after experience these Tyres i was not happy at all. I have alot of plans in summers to north side and in Kashmir. Can any one guide me should i keep these tyres or should i change? How good these Tyres are for long journey? I am little afraid how they will perform in rough roads specially in summers. And if i want to change what are the best options like Pre face grande had euro star Tyres which was totally good for Pakistani roads. Any one who can give me the right suggestion. Thankyou

These Yokohama tires are perfectly fine for highway / city driving. They are a bit on the harder side but they will take the rough roads better due to this, but better than Eurostar in terms of grip.
The facelift also has slightly different suspension tuning so that also contributes to the stiffer feel. This improves handling and stability at higher speeds.
I would say keep them for their mileage and then change to other options.

If you want excellent road grip and handling, then prefer to go for premium tyres series by any of Michelin, Pirelli or Continental.

Dunlop Veuro series are also excellent.

I used continental tires they are very good for winters but very soft tires. Wanna add those one which perform on any road and long lasting. Less pencture issues. What you suggest for the future? What are the pro and cons of Michelin and Euro Star Tyres. I never used michelin.

You can try Continental UC6 series, they are better than CC6 series.

Regarding punctures, no tyre is puncture proof, as long as its made of rubber, and not steel, but YES, tyres with comparatively soft tread and sidewall are more prone to punctures.

What you suggest for the future?

I would suggest Continental UC6, Pirelli CINTURATO series, or Michelin Primacy series.

What are the pro and cons of Michelin and Euro Star Tyres.

I think, there is no match between the 02 tyres brands, other than budget of-course. Michelin is far far better than Euro Start Tyres.

I you want hard tyres like Euro Star, then prefer Dunlop or Bridgestone instead.

Agreed. I had arrived at the same conclusion that a low profile tyre on a bigger rim was the reason for ride stiffness.

And one last question is (205/55) is a good profile or should i go little above (215/55) or below (195/55) ?

215/55 R16 is the perfect size for this rim.
Go for continental uc6 (ultracontact6) only not cc6 (conticomfortcontact6).

UC6 by Conti is a very good option. I’ve used CC6 in my City with no problems but users have better experience with UC6 here so you can go for that.
Currently I have Michelin Primacy 4 in 215/55 on my FL Grande and these are super tires but difficult to find in genuine imported and more expensive than UC6.

The altered damping force in the facelift Altis lineup has resulted in an awkward bounce on rough patches at high speeds but the ride feels more planted as compared to before.

Also the A460 Yokohama are noisy and hard.

IMO, Stock tyre size or nearest to it should be fine.

Low profile tyres may be avoided.

Similarly, Wider tyres may also be avoided.

This is not due to an altered suspension, but its due to a pathetic manufacturing/quality of an agriauto shocks. Corolla bounce at high speeds, civicX rear shocks compresses way too much even on a minor speed breaker. This issue of bouncing at high speed was also there in prefl. Every nut and bolt of FL front suspension is same as that of prefl, there are two beam dampeners instead of one on the rear torsion beam.
I have fitted all 4 brand new kyb Japan shocks. I have no such thing in my car. It grips to the ground and shocks doesn't let it bounce at all.

215/55 R16 is the closest size he can get to 195/65 R15 which used to come in prefacelift.
205/55 R16 in actual is a smaller size then 195/65 R15.

YES. I have checked:

205/55/R16 is marginally smaller than 195/65/R15, but it also seems very close to it (it rather seems more closer than 215/55/R16):

But won't 215/55/R16 be a sort of low-profile, and wider tyre, compared with 195/65/R15?

What about 205/60/R16? This size seems easily available in markets, compared with 205/55/R16 or 205/65/R16, is not low-profile comparatively, and width & sidewall also seems reasonable:

I know the suspension is same.
May be its hard to explain. For example the Civic has a stiffer ride which many people hate because it doesnt give 'jhoolay' like Corolla.

But After driving Civic X and Altis 1.6 FL side by side (since I had both) on roads like GT road/Multan road ( which have a lot of patch work) the Civic feels great; no bounce whereas on the same road the Altis would feel like its bouncing.

I have driven the pre FL Corolla, bounce was there but not in an awkward way
