They arent chrome, they are made of stainless steel and are springy, their job is to keep the pad rattle free and provide a smooth surface for the pad ears to “walk” on.

The pad carrier needs to be buffed with steel brushes or sandblasted if its very badly rusted.

I recently ordered brake pads from parts central because their rate was better than both hamza yunus and mehran. Also it was much better than dealership which was like 2k difference per pair (front and rear).

Got the pads installed from toyota dealership and so far so good Alhumdolellah. They charged it as brake service and though expensive from open market but job was done well ma sha Allah and satisifed with their job.

Ahmad of parts centeal is a trustworthy guy and supportive. There were air filters in my parcel along with brake pads which I suspect that they got deformed or damaged enroute due to weight of brake pads. After I found them performing not as expected then I shared my concern and disappointment regarding the product with him and he asked me to ship it back and sent me new air filters which are fine. This further strengthen my confidence on him.

Brother its been a while that I got them and due to inflation prices will not be of that time but let me share the prices to give you an idea.
You can see prices of all type of brake pads available for corolla but I selected the ones marked as bold which are oem according to part number. There is AKEBONO in list which people are liking a lot nowadays but I thought to go with oem ones.
Hope that helps.

In fsm toyota calls for lithium soap based glycol grease for caliper pins,however the one available from toyota dealerships like in US or JP is the red color grease labelled as rubber grease p no 08887-01206. From what I have found is that both are same, msds for rubber grease lists 20% lithium soap in p no 08887-01206 listed as rubber grease.
whats your input on this.

Yes the lithium soap glycol grease and the product called rubber grease are same parts.

Both are miscble with brake fluid too.

But ive found that applying best practices from other manufacturers is the best idea. Most brands specify a teflon additized silicone grease and it really works great, even better than the toyota/suzuki pink glycol grease.

Cheap too.

Do u deal in suspension as well?
My vitz suspension is making noise on bumps but toyota dealership saying that it is normal in winters and suspension is good.

There shouldn't be any noise from a new suspension. On speed breakers noise usually comes from worn out stabilizing links, or stabilizing bar bushes.
