Corolla Chassis No. issue with FIA

Is anyone aware of the news circulating on social media that Corolla sold in Khi have already registered numbers in Lahore against the chassis and vice versa.
The audio clip says, invoices from Indus motor have been stolen and against those invoices, Corolla XLI, GLI, Altis have multiple registrations in various cities of Pakistan. People are advised in this clip to stop dealing with XLI, GLI & Altis as they might end up in big mess.

Case already registered with FIA .. God knows.

Please share your views if you have come across with this news.

A year back and the issue now popping up. Number of vehicles are impounded .. same chassis number on two different vehicles. One tampered and one orignal although both used the orignal sales certificate while registration in diffrent provinces. There are report of thefts of sales certificates although Indus declined it.

I wrote a detailed post on Facebook about it and I am reached out by atleast 4 individuals who are facing issue. One such owner have a tampered chassis and bought it used via Pakwheels used car section. The vehicle is now impounded in Islamabad.. the owner have all genuine documents.

the case is not missing invoices. The cartel of Toyota Showrooms in Punjab is handling such case tampered frame number cars are registered under xyz name and put up on sale. Such tampered vehicles are registered in B areas of Punjab where the excise department are slow but quick to make fast cash ignoring the check list of paper work before registration. Tampering masters all located in KPK they have state of the art laser cutting welding equipment.

So they are putting these chasis numbers on ncp cars?

Yes.. the issue is that genuine certificates are used to register illegal tempered vehicles like typically done with NCP...

Now problem is also for orignal genuine owners.

I have heard that Tiktoker Khurram Gujjar who appeared on a recent pakwheel video also is under investigation for the same case.. he is a major agent for vehicle registration and believed to be involved.

I think all of this will be having some basis but we need to be little sensitive here as we are putting every Corolla owner (bought in last couple of years) in a difficult position because as of now no one knows Chassis numbers which are tempered. So right now if any genuine vehicle is up for sale they will face issue while selling because Chassis verification is not an easy process and has consequences attached to it. Also I don't think this issue happened only recently but I know of a case from 2011 where 2 identical cars in Islamabad had same registration number. So its not only Indus our excise departments are corrupt to core and are involved in such malpractices specially where you don't have file at hand and you are buying a used vehicle.

This isn't possible without someone in excise being involved. Indus has nothing to do with this

Duplicate registration books were issued in past with the involvement of excise crooks that won't put duplicate tag on them. Now original registration book in hand, chassis number and engine number of NCP cars could be smartly tempered to make them illegally legal to run on roads of Pakistan. Even the metal plate attached to chassis could be forged and replaced.

There are great chances that Toyota dealers are involved in this because they get your cars registered with their own agents and those agents with good links inside excise could get any car registered without even presenting original file issued by Manufacturers. Also duplicate or fake vehicle certificates could be forged and handed over to purchaser.

i think, its not a new thing, as per some sources, this has been done before but mostly in sindh and mostly during election days, some have opinion that even manufacturers/ assemblers are also involved,
the alleged recycling mostly involves corolla in black and white colors. political leader obliged others and their own political worker by giving them brand new unregistered cars which were in actual recycled cars using NCP/stolen vessels and were cleaned at dealerships and were great in number
these cars used to run in remote areas with proper reg. and papers.
i think now this manic has spread in other areas as well...good way to make easy money.

Read below thread and you will find how stolen car can be transferred from first owner to other person even though it was registered with 2nd owner. If excise department can remove the record of 2nd owner then they can do anything. Hum ZINDA qaum hain aur apni marzi say sab kuch karte hain

where you registered FIR when the vehicle was stolen. If in Faisalabad then take Police from Faisalabad to Mardan after proper legal action and took the vehicle as well as the person driving that vehicle with the help of local police. You have already lost your vehicle and now further expenses and trips to Mardan. Our judicial system is like this we all know but there are ways to trap it inside. You should consult the lawer in Faisalabad and take action through police. They will guide you how to…

My brother is also facing this problem he had purchased a corolla 2019 model after 3 months it came to knowledge that the invoice is fake although car is genuine one plz share the details on 0304 5000033
