Corolla GLI 1.3 Engine Oil Recommendation

Hey Pakwheelers,

I just bought a toyota gli 1.3 vvti 2013 model with 84000KMs on odometer, the previous owner barely remembered the oil he was using (he let the service center take care of it), but it seemed as if he was using Zic A+ (5W 20)...however I'm not sure if that's the right choice especially when temperatures are expected to hit as high as 45C soon.

Please recommend a good oil and also a reputed service center in Rawalpindi to buy from.

Also, where I can buy toyota OEM parts in Rawalpindi other than their own dealerships?

5w20 isn't recommended for 2nzfe 1.3 engine. You can use total 5w30, or liqui moly 5w40 synthoil hightech. Both works fine in this engine. If previous owner was mantaining car from Toyota than they must be adding toyota petron 20w50 in it.

Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30, or at max. ZIC 10w-40!

Replace along with genuine oil filter after every 5K Kms.

For ZIC, you can buy online from zicoil.pk For Total, you can buy from company operated / maintained fuel stations. In fact, you may open Total Parco website, and see for yourself, where their oil change stores are located in the twin cities.

For Total, one is located in F-6 Markaz.

Its usually around 7-9K Kms, for fully synthetic engine oils.

liqui moly?

Fully synthetic 5w40 liqui moly is kind a like outdated version which is api sm. Go for cheaper solutions instead like total which is api sn. In liqui moly api sn is semi synthetic, but its drain intervals are 8k kms.

A pleasure. Just make sure you're getting oil from authentic source, and oil is original. Get oil filters and air filters from dealers suggested above.
