Corolla Gli 1.3 Vs Altis 1.6 in terms of Superior features

i plan to get a Gli Auto 2016. someone advised me to put 100k extra and get an Altis 1.6 instead, as Gli is underpowered in his opinion.

kindly advice what makes an Altis 1.6 AUTO superior than Gli 1.3 Auto? should i go for an Altis or a Gli? (both AUTO)

my considerations are:

fuel economy
comfort
drive (under power etc)
safety
security
parts availability
maintenance cost
any other superior features (if any)

any other good advice in this regard??

Altis 1.6..period..better from economy to drive..in everything

Power to weight ratio makes it superior. Fyi 1.8L altis..is most fuel economical in Corolla lineup...yehi to kamal hai bigger engines with newer tech are better according to car body weight

Altis will be a better choice because:
1) It'll not feel as underpowered as the GLi auto
2) Alloy wheels
3) Better economy.
These are the only difference between the 2 cars

what about the maintenance cost and part availability. cos Gli's parts are available everywhere, even in remort northern areas, i guess

Maintenance cost will be the same. Parts availability will also not be an issue

Parts and . maintenance is same...better get 1.6 even in facelift the optitron meter is just far better than gli one

is there Hill Start Assist in Altis 1.6 2016?? or it is only in Grande 1.8

If you go to specs, altis only has lcd and alloy rims extra
If you want power then you may go for altis

Hill start is there in grande, i think 2017 onwards

No there is no hill start..it has vsc trc etc but no hill start. Doesn't hurt that much since auto doesn't go backwards easily. I think hsa was not available in international variants as well.. didn't check specs though.

I will advise you to avoid gli auto as not only its underpowered it will be heavy on fuel as well, go for manual if you want gli else if you want automatic corolla than go for 1.6 but except engine there isnt much difference between gli and 1.6 2016.
