Corolla gli 1.6, cold start no issue but after that taking 2 self to start

Dear Pakwheels friends

I have corolla 1.6 auto since 2019 and currently it's 189k run, over all no issue, around 3 to 4 months back car having issue of loss power all of a sudden and culprit was fuel pump which was replaced and problem solved

In December I got same issue car stopped all of a sudden and could not started at that time one mechanic clear the fuel pump and filter and install and problem solved but next day it happens again so the same mechanic suggested to change complete fuel pump means with filter and everything and I did that with new Chinese and problem was solved

Car always start at half self but since 2 week in the morning even at the most cold nighta car start at half self but after that the car always start in second self , once started than no issue in the driving

Pls help what could be the reason ?

Why bother with a chinese pump anyway? Quality is mix and match. Your better off with a genuine one.

You have complete fuel pump with filter or only fuel pump?
I think fuel pump is ok because in the morning car starts in half self without any issue . The whole night car standing so fuel remain in the lines and morning no issue

After that when car runs temperature normal than problem comes in , my understanding was that it is something related to sensor or something

You need good professional diagnosis. Don't go parts cannoning over your car until it fixes itself. And please use genuine parts.

Yes updated information is that I check the car from rehan of tiptronic according to him it has related to engline like walls because they did dry compression test and 3 cylinder vakuea were 160 to 165 and one is 100or 110 psi
They did not performed wet test

Further during scan some sensor error which was clean oxygen sensor.

During the drive and pickup no problem with them car so they believe it is engine job

Also checked with an other mechanic Irshad at society office he is with the view that engine is not issue but he believe fuel pump to avoid this he said will try to arrange new fuel pump complete and check if that is the issue or not

Get compression test from other place so we can get good accuracy of engine health.

Also get fuel pressure tested then decide whether you need new fuel pump or not, maybe should be 38-44psi.

Sir @dani_kk might give you better way of diagnosis.

Bro the engine has bad compression, why does it start every other time after the cold start. These all theories don't look legit to me. And if you want to get the compression test done and full diagnosis of this problem, you can visit me.

Also important point is engine overhauling is successful for 1.6 gli auto engine ?

Yes if the block and head are on standard then overhauling is possible. If the block is rusted then block needs changing.

sir possibly the fuel pump is faulty. you may try irshad 0300 223 7538 at shah rae quaideen sir @integrale can help further.

1 cylinder at 100 psi ? engine compression test is incomplete
2 step compression test is mandatory to know the values. WET & DRY

Update
Visited Irshad Bhai , he did both wet and dry compression and reasult is week engine health
We also checked pcv value it was ok
Also service the self
His opinion is sweap the engine instead of repair reason is because he believe original engine parts not available

Any reliable engine part shops in Karachi ?
Or shell I check with Khan motors for the job because one of friend told me they can source parts from Dubai as well

Pls give me suggestions

a pkdm corolla has every engine part available for re-built not sure why mr.irshad has suggested a swap. perhaps he also jumped into bandwagon of easy money makers. sir @pwuser157309010063 allies corporation mr. shahid 9221-32721352 give him your vehicle make and model ask for engine overhaul parts avaiability. if i may add its a 1600 1ZRFE engine. also malik autos mr. aamir malik 0333 2175325 he is son-in-law of Malik Auto Engineering Machine shop, can guide you to a better workshop for engine rebuild.

what are the wet & dry compression values if you may share please.

Brother yes engine is 1zrFe
Wet values were 60 to 65 and dry 160

more then 60% difference? is your vehicle running ?? what is approx fuel avg you are getting per liter @rajaatta @syncview @hassan1991 @dani_kk were you present when compression test was performed?

Hain? Wet test kum kese agaya bhai.
Ap reading ulti bta rahay hain, and reading psi mein nai hain.

Because 80psi see neche misfire shuru hojati hai.
