i will post a detailed experience once I have tested my vehicle. For now here it goes:
firstly please thoroughly check and eliminate all the possibilities of heat up. there are numerous things you can check:
1) Radiator
2) Fan
3) TStat
4) Waterpump
5) Headgaskit ---- please don't jump the gun as every road side mechanic would give his verdict that head is the culprit. the proper diagnosis is to check for air bubbles in the radiator, pressure in radiator, and the best is Co2 test. if you tech does not know what this test is please change the tech.
if all above is clear. then move to aircon. Air con can also heat up the vehicle, the probably causes are:
1) blockage in the pipes
2) evaporating valve malfunction
3) solenoid malfunction
all of the above will make the compressor work extra which would lead to compressor failure which would translate into extra load on crank.
always check the High and Low pressure of Aircon while testing - low should be around 50 and high should not increase 350 @capsat please correct where requried
4) if all above are ok - the compressor may be faulty - in order to check pour some water on the compressor which the pressure (head pressure of AC) is high and vehicle is over heating. if the water boils immediately (like putting water on a hot stove/ pan). then compressor needs to be changed.
please in last case do check if the compressor's coating is intact if not please get every thing flushed with CTC .
best of luck in fixing your vehicle.
cheers
