Rust is inside cylinder head coolant lines bro or head coolant lines

So now the latest situation:
Sometimes there are problem arising and then they vanishes. Like last week when car starts it burbs for 30 to 60 seconds and then normal. This problem automatically vanishes this week and from last 2 days difficulty in starting the car sometimes and hesistation on starting.

2 things are constant: coolant loss and oil loss
One thing to mention that acceleration and everything is smooth.

So today I went to the mechanic car starts fine. He opened the radiator cap and start the car there were bubbles coming. So he said head gasket is blown but this engine needs to be change now because of its sound. I further question him he said that crankshaft is sounding bad. I insist him to do compression test. On the first cylinder when the spark plug was remove it was submerged in oil. He attach the gauge and it shows 160 so he didn't perform it on other cylinders.

He is saying to put in a kabli 2nz or 1nz
Or if I want 3zz fe so only assembly should be placed I insist him that complete wiring and ecu should be placed as japanese 3zz fe has different ecu and vvti enabled and O2 sensor. So he said better go for 2nz or 1nz complete

For now if there are no major problems I will be running it with this stock engine and push it to its limit. Odo is almost 160k kilometers

Hahahahah what a bullshit logic by him...
First of all compression of 160 psi is good, all other three Pistons if have 5-7psi difference then you don't need engine replacement...

Secondly if the plug is submerged in oil, it shows tapet cover seal has gone bad and oil is coming inside cylinder.

Thirdly sensing blown gasket is not very easy.
You need to do compression test then if it's good you remove the radiator and see for leaks. See for leaks in whole cooling system. Heater core can also be leak. Any needle like leak in cooling system can cause coolant overflow from reservoir tank and make the car heat and show bubbles inside radiator..

So please do all the necessary tests.. Normally oil seals are leaking and they result in oil consumption toom

How can a done piston pull 160 psi compression sir??
And by looking at all pictures my analysis tells this engine has leakage problems and is loosing oil...

And coolant loss may be due to leaked cooling system. But incomplete compression test is not a good idea

I already use my full power to convince him to do compression test as he was saying "compression will be alright but it does not tell about the bottom part of the engine, the crank also. The sound is showing that engine is weak"
About the coolant he said no leaks can be seen when start the engine bubbles can be seen

Sir engine has three parts which are major.
Bottom, middle and top.
Bottom part kharab hona is very easy job.

Middle part is also doable but top part or gasket part is difficult.

So my advise is to reach to the root cause. Don't just reach to the conclusion of engine replacement or rebuilding too quickly

if i'm right that's close to minimum compression. means weak engine oil can pass through rings. or even weak valve seals. use endoscope to check the condition of pistons.

The problem is no one wants to reach root cause. Mostly people say engine sound says it's weak. And most mechanic says that rebuilding is not worth the money.

Same is happening with me right now my mechanic also reminds me to swap engine whenever I visit him for any issue because one its oil was not circulating due to worn out main bearing and he replaced it and since then he keeps saying this engine is now weak and you should purchase a new one from shershah and one thing to mention is in my case engine is more costly than yours (1ZZFE) and difficult to replace.

Toyota engine overhaul parts are available in abundance for models as far as 1977 model engines.
You shall change your mechanic(s). engine rebuilding is easy make them responsible and commission from yard is lower then the labor they charge.

never swap unless the block has serious physical damage.

always rebuild an engine.

Dear brother,
For God's sake SWAP your engine.
That's the only proper solution.
I would suggest 1ZR-FE used in Altis 1.6
And never ever use CNG again.

yard engines are ULTRA HIGH risk to swap.

orphan engine from unknown origin, nobody can tell the history of engine & from which variant it has been taken out for any unknown reason.

swapping unknown engine require modification of engine number to registration book. failure of such engines in under 2000 kilometers will require more resources.

Rebuilt with caution maximum oem parts will bring peace of mind

Yes, this engine basically gets dead when it has 120 psi compression.
160 psi is a very good compression

Lets assume and most probably we want to keep this car what would be better and reliable option which will give greater odo like 200k kms more to this car with no problems? Rebuilding or Swapping?

I feel like for long term swapping a good 1nz fe is good option and it may give us 200k kms and more

Secondly for rebuilding mechanics should have good knowledge and should use proper tool like torque wrench etc. But most of them don't have.
