No that's genuine sealant, it's not opened.
Plus cooling system looks very clean.
10/10 on cooling system
Piston has carbon on it, so my prediction is, it should pull around 150 to 170 range compression.

Yar ho sakta hai but not his own head, head replace hoga and low end b banjaega.
The engine is not a new and golden piston top kinda, so since he's spending 100k, when 100k is being spent why not throwing 10-15k more and buy a neat n clean golden piston top kinda beauty

Bro what could be cause of Jerk in gear changing, changed Atf but no lead.

Compression is not coming like cylinder#1 , 4 has 0 psi and 2,3 has around 60

Mechanic saying compression will be good after it is installed.

this is screwed up 1nz-fe engine with U340 means it is from a 2003 corolla..
the injectors looks fresh new , closely inspect for any slipped knocked out bolts in head area. I see the wiring is also missing does it have matching ECU withit ??

i'd not recommend this engine for swap.

It got wiring but not the ecu. Wiring was removed in front of me. Also U340 is same as in our PKDM corolla 3zz? And U340 doesn't came after 2003?

after 2003 not in JDM, 2004 onwards COROLLA it was switch to U341E

relax & figure out how much you are paying and what items you are getting in the swap,.

there are 4 different jobs which I term as swaps: ( other may have different approach for ideas )

1. only complete engine is changed
2. only half assembly is changed
3. only head, intake & exhaust manifolds are changed
4. complete engine transmission wiring with ECU is changed

• complete engine = engine with manifolds, wiring, ecu, ac compressor, power steering pump, & generator ( without transmission )

• half assembly it is self explanatory
• it is also self explanatory

• it is to unbolt complete old engine, transmission as its from the vehicle - rig the new engine change all fluids, connect wiring flush the cooling system connect wiring start & GO

I am not happy with the engine mechanic got as I was thinking of a clean engine.

In my case, everything is swapping, old engine + transmission already out of the engine bay. Only thing reuse will be ac compressor. Else all wiring already striped out of engine bay.
Engine foundations some will be reused and one will be replaced as it is crack.

Only problem is engine has already came and now I cannot ask him to return without any major fault. After running up any fault shows, he will then replace this engine.

Have a look at my civic 1998 engine which was swapped by me, look at the engine this is jdm D15B it was bought complete. It had wiring with battery terminal and fusebox. As soon as i swapped i did compression test it was 200 psi across all cylinders. This is halfcut engine.

That isn't a problem, that is blackmail and pressure from the mechanic, tell him that it's your car, your money, and your right. Did he show you these pictures before purchase? Did he not tell that the engine would be in great knick and out of a 2007? Since that isn't the case, tell him that this is not what you claimed, hence its not wanted. Find another
