Passo?

Confused, i started from Coure for a budget for 6.50 lacks couldnt find any thing nice started looking for a Mira, Mira X (4AT) a good car is worrth 7.65-8.25 depending on conditon bla bla. For that much one can get a Passo as well.

Ive been warned by some seniors (pakwheelers and friends) that 660cc wont be the wiseest option and i should find something better.

Now the thing is if i go for Passo then 8.25 is for a basic car, the range keeps going up and then theirs Vitz,

I have options to look for a brand new or a slightly used Mehran, But a brand new VX with Ac, radio, registraton would go upto 6.70 lacks

used Cultus is a decent option, but some how im staying away from Suzuki atleast for time being.

My problem is that i have to set a particular boundary to get a car within, Passo seems a bit big but its a Toyota and looks pretty much reliable.

Should i stop looking for a Mira and keep my choices to Passo and Coure? (il get a Coure in around under 7) only transfer fee would be charged., And Passo for around 8.50 ish (plus registration etc makes it 9)

Or should i look for authentic Mira?

Imean is 660 not great? my daily drive would be around 80kms, a fuel efficient car is my top priority. I dont want to get in to odd cars like Suzuki Cervo, Daihatsu sonica, move etc id like to go for a car thats seen and parts are avalible easily. like i could source for Vitz when i got it, Yes it got better with time but being a Toyota everything was always avalible.

And in the price of Passo (with registration) I guess 2006-2007 Honda City is a wiser option.

Passo is better option for u i believe, i have been reading ur quries since quite long.
Passo is better for u brother go for it eyes closed, i know for this u hv to increase ur budget to some extent but Passo is worth it.

@chinyoti: How about going for Hyundai Santro in extremely mint condition. It is a great economical car with reasonable drive. I used it for sometime and loved it. Also a Santro in extremely mint condition is going to fit in your budget and will give you almost all the features one can have in Cultus or Vitz.

go for cuore. its interior is not like mira but is good and comfortable. CNG works good in it and you can save some money. its economy is proven. engine is reliable. good car as a daily drive. for family, space can be a matter.

If u want a car which runs reliable on CNG, go for cuore. I have ecomatic which I have used rigorously since last one year and it runs superb on CNG with AC. Never heated up even in 50 degree. suspnsion is very nice u dont feel like u r in a small car. Its comfortable and reliable but it lacks interior quality as compared to japnese cars.

well on gas with ac it gives below Rs 4 per KM within city.

one petrol however its not economical. with light foot it can do around 13-14 km with ac.

But again its made to run on CNG not petrol.

Suzuki Alto 660 very common might fit ur budget..also Mira has a decent market share. i am driving a Mitsubishi ek 660 for past 10 months mashallah i have forgotten about CNG and car does 17-21 km/l depending on driving n road conditions

i totally disagree with the suspension bit . This car has the worst comfort in its class. Apart from that it is by far the best car in its class.

if you can compromise with the comfort then go for this car. If you can invest 650 k then i can offer my car to you. The only reason for selling like i said , the comfort level is horrible . I have tested atleast 10 cars and its the same. Then again im used to my charade 86 drive and believe me there is no match between the two.

Well if u compare it with corolla and civic then offcourse u will not find it as comfortable. However, it is the only local manufactured car in its class which has independant suspension and it makes hell of a difference which u can immediately feel when you drive it. If you raise a japnese alto and cuore on a pit side by side and see both of them from bottom u will immediately get the answer. Cuore's suspension system is much heavily built as compared to 660cc japnese cars. No doubt its old fashioned in many other aspects but it is surely made to run and last.

The cars u have tried must be running on stock tires which are hard as rock.

Im not sure y, But im getting wrong vibes about the 660cc engine, Althou i dont like Passos shape, And not willing to spend over 8, But most people are suggesting me to look for Passo rather then a Mira, Passo being avalible fora small price difference and being a toyota.

Sir try to get some loan money from brothers/sisters/relatives or any bank and go for a passo. In 8 range, you will get a very bad condition passo and you will be crying after buying it.

If increasing range is not possible, get a good condition mira. 660 cc engine will be good for normal in city driving of 80km/h. If you go higher, the car will start to consume a lot of fuel.

a BLACK PASSO wud b my suggestion
well if u r goin for fuel eff , then cultus (efi) is the best option .. my friend got a new cultus early 2012 , full cylinder cng (around Rs550-600) gives him 180km , and on petrol its like 18km/l
but then again , suzuki lacks quality and it will start burning your money after 4 years (of manufacture) and ull b spendin the money u saved in fuel eff .. so BLACK PASSO ,, better lookin , toyota so low maintenance cost

^ CNG is not my cup of tea, Since we've had issues with our Baleno and a Alto and Mehran in family were stolen because of the CNG kit alone, So CNG is a big no.

Color isnt an issue ican live with white color, im getting a basic package in around 8.35 and a loaded for for 8.50, and a wine red color for 8.60, So the thing is that adding 5-10k on top keeps giving you new choice and it doesnt stops, Spending 8.60 means that i should go for a Vitz then. :S

So im totaly confused. I never thought car purchase could be so much trouble some :S

Nope not all. most had high end tyres like dunlop eco and yokohama aspec. Im sorry but the fact is that local assembled cars especially the smaller ones have very bad quality. Frankly speaking there is no more attraction with local assembled cars. I have 2 local cars and frankly they taken such good care as the furniture in my drawing room. if i use them for daily run i can bet they detoriate fast. my car has bridgestone b500 series done 34000 with the spare wheel unused. Frankly my car is the most silent , smooth , responsive and comfy out of the 10 i tested how ever not as comfy and quality oriented as per my standards. the metal body of cuore is so weak that if you press hard on the bonet its going to leave finger marks. same is the case with mehran and alto etc. seats are very hard , dash board is pathetic quality though the design is very nice. i dont go over 80 and i stop on evey pot hole and cat eye despite the fact the dirver behind me honks the hell out ... one this is amazing the steering wheel is awsome its so flowy. I am not comparing it with civic or corolla im comparing it with my 86 charade which beats it in every test , from comfort , response , spaciousness , parts , heavy body , excellent driving position and excellent semi powered steering wheel thiough its cg version. i can take my charade over 130 km on shahrah e faisal with a breeze and no fear or disbalance. rust level is a minimum take in account im the first owner and had it since oct 1986.

i must admit cuore will sell like hot cake when i want which is the only reason why i bought it.

Chinyoti after reading your comments i think you should stay away from jap assembled cars as they woundnt fit your cup of tea. Go for the cuore since youre the perfect consumer weither its my car or anybodys car.

One last word, having kept a japanese baleno, why dont you consider a 2005-6 japanese 1.6 axi liana , its will fit your budget easily for 6.5 and there are some nice ones on sale at pakwheels. further more the local liana rxi is not a bad option at all , far better then cuore. think about it.

They can use what ever technology they want , if the car does not offer value against its price tag then its not worth it all. There are cars out there far better then cuore the likes of chevy joy, cherry qq, daihatsu storia etc.

cuore's suspension is a bit hard but i like it as it is. it is a nightmare driving it on bad roads. when driving on good city roads it has good road grip even at 120km/hr. if you have to take a sharp turn at speed car will easily follow whereas in alto a sharp turn at 100km/hr means you are going to roll. so it is much safe.
