I also intend to do so i.e. converting from carb to EFI, But what I already have done is converting from point to CDI. It surprizingly giving me good mileage, better power, better startup and when ever I unscrew my spark plugs, they are so clean which proves that the fuel burns well.
Few days back my car felt sluggish, so, I presumed it is the air filter. I took out the air filter and ran the car without it and found out that the air filter was so dirty and jamming the car. I just cleaned it few days back. I concluded that due to so much dirt and pollution, the filter gets dirty sooner and makes the engine suck more and more fuel downgrading my engine's efficiency.
Keeping in mind all the above I decided to convert it to EFI.
I discussed it with one of the mechanic (Mr. Asif) who told me that it is doable and would take about 30,000 Rs. to do so.
I am not finding the time to go to him and leave the car to his workshop for few days.
Any way when I am done with it I will share the story here bro. Moreover, I have started some construction work in my house so I am not doing that sooner.
Converting to CDI was so easy: I revolved the engine to zero point timing, took out the point assembly, took it to shoba Bazar (Peshawar) a mechanic who specializes in converting point to CDI put the CDI system in the assymbly. I took the assymbly and put it back according to the point's position before. The car started perfectly after switching the sparkplug wires to the right sequence and it took me about 25 min to figure out the correct sequence.
