Guys, would highly appreciate your opinion in increasing the mileage. Another thing would like to know if high octane petrol (ratio1:4) is useful ?

Yes hioctane is useful in foualing your spark plug with oil (unburnt smoke) please post a picture of you spark plug remove them after driving a bit

Brother if your mechanic is good then get the carburettor cleaned/ serviced from him ..

I dont know any specific person for carburettor cleaning/ servicing as my mechanic does this job quite well for me . If you say then i can give his number to you

using thicker oil decrease fuel efficiency?
as crappy mechanics pour 20w50 in everything.

even suzuki recommends 10w40 for cultus

this might be as minor as the need of a tune up and new plugs....don't jump straight to the carburetor
