Cultus 2008 efi accelerating problem

Salam dear members!!

I have Cultus 2008 efi, i am facing a problem that after starting when the car is neutral its fine but when i push accelerator rpm starts dropping instead of rising and goes below one and eventually car is shut down however as soon as I leave the accelerator to normal position, rpm goes to normal position.

Mechanic is saying that fuel pump and some choke at the rear side of total body needs to be changed and it will cost around Rs 7000/- .

Can somebody here advise me whether he is telling right whether I go for this solution or not, if yes then is the cost reasonable.

Just go for service of the Idle Air Control valve attached with the throttle body. Its work is to keep RpM stable and compensate for issues. That is work of under 1k. Go to a good mechanic for throttle service, and ask him to service the choke sensor (Desi word for this IAC valve). This is very delicate part so be careful
