Cultus 2008 VXLi - Engine plus suspension experts required

Engine (138k km)
- bluish smoke on start up for few secs (valve seals replace required)
- random smoke while stopped in traffic or signal (due to pcv maybe?)
- IACV plus throttle body cleaning
- Compression test

Which workshop in Khi can perform and resolve these tasks under their roof... (Someone near Tariq road area, gulshan, johar, fb area).... Can Jamil autos do all this?

Suspension
- tung tung sound on turning the steering wheel (feels like springy sound like kuch free horha hai)
- hard as heck hyd power steering (need it smooth/soft as much possible)
- replace all 4 wheels bushings

Which workshop in Khi can do all this under one roof (same areas as mentioned above)

I hv already visited few kaamchor peeps who were least interested to resolve anything and wasted my time. So pls, suggest someone who will resolve the issues irrespective of that i hv a small car that wont generate enough revenue for em cause they already hav bigger fishes to eat.

Can Jamil autos do all this?

yes they can do it. Take the car there explain the problem ~ observed phenomena and wait for them to guide you with a solution / digits to fix it. Analyze with your diagnosis and then decide, i suggest spare some of your time to source new parts along.

To clean throttle body, only spray carburetor cleaner inside it Without removing it from the car.

Steering cross may be worn out causing that noise, it can also be due to worn out steering rack.

If hydraulic Power steering is not repairable properly (poor parts availablility) you can convert it to non powered,
the brand new chinese non power steering rack is available @ 6k

After 100k, all cultus require brand new 4 shock absorbers. Agri auto brand is the oem quality replacement. I strongly recommend changing all four at this point, even though they may not be related with the issue at hand. the will cost 15k

Sir, ap to full khrcha krwa rahay hain .... Not denying ur point though.... But as i know how carefully the car is driven throughout our ownership, i believe only minor parts replace can be good for it.... Its not like ke car is jumping around, or leaking its oil.. the damping is perfect and i don't want to disturb that

Is that 15k for all 4 shocks?

The noise is from outside... I think it maybe due worn out shock mounts.

What coukd be Steering rack wear out reason? Improper ps fluid circulation? I think the steering hardness maybe due to the proportional valve fault... Cause the fluid is new.

Could it be strut mounts\bearing?? Or Spring seat of the front shocks that need change?.... Read on internet with people having similar sounds.

Take the car to a shop, have entire front end taken apart, replace whatever looks unfit. Thats the way to go with older cars.

Shocks will go bad after 100k whatever you do...

Have 20-25k cash ready when you get the car repaired

So, i went to Jamil autos at Shahrae quaideen...i guess that's the one.... With high hopes

I told about the bluish smoke at start, answer came "engine weak"... Then i told about random smoke while stopped in traffic and RPM dropping, answer came "engine head khulay ga, spark plug mein oil ajata hai"... Then i asked isnt start up smoke related to valve seals, answer came "aap bta dein Jo apne krwana hai wo krdein gay", to which i said " apki bhi to koi analysis hogi",... "Bhai head khulay ga to pta chalay ga... compression test bhi krskte but ap keh rhay hain ke smoke hai to test ka faida nahi"..... Then i asked " chalein theek hai head khulay ga, but us se pta kia chalay ga cause head open hona is not a small thing, and i need to be ready for the expected expense that may come".... I don't know what exactly he replied but what i understood was ke "aap itne question krke time na waste karein, mere paas abhi time nhi hai"

Meanwhile this talk, the person was roaming round and round doing his stuff, least interested to anything.

I want to know where i am wrong to inquire about what work do they have in mind for my car.... Why are they so adamant to convey the exact problem to me for my own understanding.... Is it possible that i m taking away his business by getting answers.... Why shouldn't i know the work thats going to be needed on my car... Do i have a blank cheque ke mein ankhein bnd krke inko car de dun ke jo krna hai karo.

That "engine weak hai, head khulay ga" is like that typical slap that every roadside illiterate gives to us.... I am myself educated enough to be sure ke srf engine weak nhi hai aur head khulna is not solution to all problems.... I expected him to tell me ke yes, valve seals ka issue hai, i was expecting he would ask ke how much oil is being reduced, I expected him to say ke rpm drop ke liay he can check the TPS or the IACV, etc.

Anyways, not gonna go there again... Need some recommendations for another place who doesnt hide what works he is expecting... Rather than just slapping with a engine weak hai head khulay ga...

Thank you for update. Attitude with a customer is BIG NO, Customer has all the right to question before he decide for job .

lately we have received such complaints from other members as well it appears that a visit has become necessary to strike between legs.

did you tried Iqbal shahid car care centre in FB area., for suzuki he is reasonable and knows his brand inside out.

i suggest with Iqbal explain the issue and share your observations of smoke and fuel consumption only, stay quiet n wait for his diagnosis and wait for suggestions.

the local ustad mind set is ego driven they feel challenged when educated class share their knowledge upfront before ustaad check the machine.,

exercise caution with Iqbal as well or he may treat you the same way like jamil autos.

when you visited he was working upon a Black Crown Athlete of another PW member, for delivery before 5.30 pm.

you showed up without a call and wanted things usually as we discuss here on forum,. so he acted annoyed and you felt offended. He doesn't have your number otherwise he was to call you and apologize when i was there this morning.

Irrespective of how a new customer turn up, showing attitude is a big NO this is a lesson for today the boy at jamil autos got. @sleeper

I believe yes it was black, but can't remember crown or not.... I was there at around 3.30pm, yes without call (wasnt sure if it was needed).. actually he thought i wanted to get work done then and there, to which I said just listen my issues and then advise whats required... Anyways... Its alright, and no need apology call...Thanks for ur support sir.
