Cultus 2012 Idle RPM and Fuel Economy

Dear all, I've buy a cultus car 2012 model which is run about 56000 km as the owner said, don't know telling me truth or lie. Any how when I start it when the engine is cool it shows idle rpm about 1300 which goes down while engine is heat up to about 800-900. As far as engine remains heat up it stays below 1000 in idle and don't show much fluctuation when start AC in idle but shows some fluctuations if I start AC without engine heat up. I just want to ask is it normal or any work needed? Recently throttle body got serviced. and it gives an avg. of 10 kmpl with AC in city. is it enough or can i get more fuel economy what u suggest?

Try getting it tuned. Clean throttle body, all sensors, spark plugs, filters. It should give more average.
What engine oil are u using?

Done every thing except engine oil change. Which one should i use? I'll change it first time

Do u happen to know what oil was being previously used? Just go to mechanic and get throttle adjusted to ur taste. And for mileage, u should get ur car scanned and see if there are any problems.

your car is perfectly fine, this is the normal behavior of EFI cultus, and it is not known for its best fuel average, you will get more or less the same with AC in city traffic .. don't worry and enjoy the ride !

it depends on rush hours, driving style and stop and go and other factors too.
but i am just saying that Cultus's EFI and other cars' EFI efficiency is different : (

for example, a 1000 cc cultus would almost give the same (sometimes less) average than a Toyota or Honda 1300 car in city driving : (

Mechanic says that there is butterfly in throttle body which has been worn out. He said KHARADIA will fix it and rpm issue will be resolved and he said it will also increase fuel efficiency.

new Cultus or Picanto .. new Alto.
They have newer improved technology engines.
Suzuki old engines weren't that fuel efficient.

i am not sure but since it would not be an expensive job so you can try it at least maybe it will help !
