Cultus 2016 Special Edition Fuel Average

Dear All. I have Cultus 2016 Special Edition (basically the last model before Suzuki changed the shape of Cultus). It has run around 37,000 kms. Its currently giving me a fuel average of 9. I just drive in the city so no long route drives. I am also not a rough driver at all. I never take it above 80 kph speed. However it seems to me that the average is lower than what it should ideally be. Is it normal for 2016 Cultus with a mileage of 37000 kms to be giving a 9 kms per liter average? And if not then what can be done to improve it?

Tuning done?
Use 10w30 engine oil

Should give around 15kmpl. Do proper tuning from a good workshop

Start with basics, which oil are you using? Did you check you car's plugs? Did you get car converter cleaned? Did you check for leakage?

Get complete tunning with throttle body cleaning ,sensor service ,plug clean and catylatic converter cleaning for
Rs 2000 for 660cc to 1000cc and
Rs 2500 for 1300cc to 1600cc

It should give you 11-12 with AC and 14-15 without AC, however with short trips you wont get good mileage.

In last oil change which was done like 20 days ago, I used PSO's Carient Ultra 10W30. Spark plugs have also been changed in the same service (20 days ago). The current plugs are of Denso. What is a car converter? I got car inspected by Pakwheels team and they told me there is no kind of engine oil or gear oil leakage.

No. I don't think catylic convertor has been checked. I let my car checked by Pakwheels inspection team and whatever points they highlighted, i told the mechanic to sort them out. There was no mention of catylic convertor not being cleaned in the inspection report, so i didn't ask the mechanic to clean it.

Yes, my trips are generally very short as my office is just 5-6 kms away from my home.

Get your car’s timing check and MAP sensor check I was having map sensor issue got it check found put grips were loose enough to create problem of higher fuel consumption. My average in karachi city os 13 15 due insane amount of traffic and frequent braking and 18 to 19 average on highway with all passengers including load of luggage at the speed of 100 to110 kms. If I drove on 110 to 120 average drops to 17 to 17.5 with ac on with fan on full blast. If I drive at 80 to 90 on same passengers and luggage load I can get 19.7 to 20.5 average.
