Cultus 2017 (Celerio): Leakage water in spare wheel trunk

Hello, My father's Cultus 2017 (Islamabad) has this issue. It was parked in rain for 2-4 hours in the morning, when we checked the spare wheel trunk it was filled with some water. Although all the rubber seals of back door are dry and the mat cover placed on the wheel was also dry except near the trunk door lock.
There are also no drain holes in the trunk (there were two round holes but the are covered with metal and sealant ).
Is this issue also present on the other cars as well?. We haven't yet checked it with the Suzuki dealer. Is it a company manufacture issue?
Has any one experienced the same?

I also have new cultus 2020 model and today after washing undercarriage i noticed there was water inside trunk. I’ll take it to dealership to fix it. Were u able to fix ur trunk water issue? Plz let me know the reason behind it. It seems some hole has been left opened from where water is entering the trunk. Fault of factory during car assembling.

Salam. I am also having this issue in new cultus 2020 model. Even after washing water comes in trunk below spare tyre only and matt above the tyre is not wet all. Seems water is coming from tail light holes which in body. One can see them after opening the light. Has anyone been able to fix it plz share.

Sure. The water comes from rear mud guards. There is a small hole on both mud guards inner corner which had not been sealed. So when water is applied with pressure or when a person drives in rain. Water enters from these wholes and is accumulated below spare tyre in trunk. That hole needs to be closed from inside and from mud guard inner corner with sealent and it 24 hours for that to dry.
