Cultus Ac Issue Please Help

Abid i saw your replies on other posts and seems youve sold your cultus and bought a baleno, how is that going for you? for how much can i sell a 2007 carby in mint condition, new battery, brakes plates and stuff all new, whole ac unit is new, generator work done, engine overhauled and trouble free, new music player, alloy rims, basically i bought it for 520 and spent 50k's in a month just to make it perfect, only thing bothering me is the ac, its not good enough above 35 degrees under sunlight, can you suggest me any baleno or sedan that i can purchase after selling it? and how much can i sell it for? its first owner still.

well i got my radiator cleaned a week back, temp needle is always upto 30% max, not even middle, radiator is double nali, i have done everything i could to be honest, engine is overhauled perfectly, car is perfect on both cng and petrol, changed my air filter a week back too, ive sat in my friends 2007 vxri and his ac is excellent even when temperature outside is upto 45 and his ac is all stock. i went today to the guy who changed my ac system with mini pajero compresser and its compatible stuff including coil and condenser, he checked it and admitted that cooling sucked under sunlight, so he refilled the gas, did some settings, then asked me to use shades while driving lol, but the ac still sucks. im someone who has been a victim of ac frauds, first with my mehran and now cultus, both with the same problem, ac sucks under sunlight!

a good baleno is hard to find. excellent car, excellent ac, excellent road grip, very comfortable. send me your watsapp num il send you the pics. i found a clean car and first owner so bought it immediately. had to spend to make it good for myself and it is proving to be a great decision.

went to muslim car ac and told him that whatever bashic car sc did which was worthless and made no difference, today as there were no other customers he figured out the problem, the problem was that ac was not tripping, so installed a thermostat and relay, charged 1500 for that, its better now then it previous was but now hes saying in standstill, mini pajero compreesor can not chill the cabin, he wants to install terios kid compressor and said it would cost 10ks lol. I feel il end up paying atleast 50ks to get this ac to be as i want it

the problem was that ac was not tripping, so installed a thermostat and relay, charged 1500 for that

If you remember, that was my question whether the AC trips at idle or not. Now what the mechanic did, will not solve the problem. The original temperature sensor inside the evaporator (the cooling coil inside dash unit) will trip the AC at about 7-8 degree cool air. Your AC system is not able to cool the air to 7-8 degree thats why it does not trip on idling.

The thermostat he installed is actually a general purpose thermostat whose trip temperature is adjustable so he set it to trip at whatever temperature your AC air is at.

This will not solve your issue and neither a Terios kid compressor. The air conditioning system is designed according to laws of thermodynamics and every component is well calculated.

Since every mechanic is saying different thing, so I am pretty sure none of those has actually diagnosed the problem. If you still want to spend money to fix this AC, I will suggest you to try and find the brand new genuine Cultus compressor, the expansion valve and the filter (AKA bottle).

The genuine Air Con Compressor that comes for cultus works fine. The problem is with the refrigerant, that these low-end air con workshops are using. Only a few refrigerants work in Pakistan according to the climate. Which would give you optimal A/C performance. Be it a cultus or any vehicle. Even if you change everything and install a brand new system and fill the system with cheap refrigerant the ac wont give you optimal results. I suggest you go to one of the pioneers in the Air Con industry and not the thieves in the A/C market. if you are close to Khushal Road, Where bashir is ask for Azhar Services they are just a few shops away and they have been working for the past 4 decades. might charge you a little bit higher than what bashir charges but they will not suggest or install any counterfeit parts in your vehicle. Or if you are near shara-e-faisal theres another branch of theirs on the main shara-e-faisal road. near nursery flyover. Or on shara-e-quaideen Liaquat Sanden. These are the only two people i trust with parts, services and refrigerant. Their experience is far more than any of the other workshops. Go there and they shall sort it our for you. Remember, that you yourself no matter how many opinions you take from any AC wala they will give you the cheapest option but wont give you optimal solution for the vehicles AC. Well there are two main reasons for this problem.
1. Compressor
2. Distance between condenser and radiator ...

Many people dont know about the proper distance in condenser and radiator .. there should be very low spacing in between them ...

This issue was resolved, i gave it to my own mechanic, he changed the coil, installed a corolla x japenese compressor, and that was it, the ac was chilling and had minimal load on the engine.

If you are willing to spend more money than i have a solution
Look for a engine of Cultus vxli 2008 model,any engine og that model will work,and replace all ac kit with the denso kit
Im probably sure it will work
My brother bought a cultus 2 months ago and i just cant resist its ac,it works excellently in peak hours of garmi​ and the car also doesnt takes load it is only driven a 8000km
Cultus only model which is perfect with ac and engine is The 2008,2009,2010 models,all vxli models are the best models

Facing same problem with cultus vxl 2018, please guide exactly which parts to change, (new or used-qabli). What cost u paid and If there any change in milage also.

no idea about the newer model of cultus, my issue was about the combination of compressor and condenser, the combination wasnt working well together, changed the compressor and coil and kept the condenser, and the ac was exceptional after that!

Bro its common problem in cultus ac.i m suffering from the same issue. Spend around 40 k still not satisfied. Now the mechanic suggest to install new radiator plus new efi engine d15 mean 1500 cc to get good cooling while idealing.. in my opinion its all useless ,waste of time and money. Coz everyone wants to an experiment on behalf of ur pocket... So i m going to sell this car and will upgade to the new model.

it can be fixed if you change condenser and compressor, and add a goos radiator, in short everything needs to be compatible, i used corolla x compressor, the pick of the car decreased but cooling was excellent

I 100% agree with you i have 2008 vxri model and its ac works pretty good even once i fill referigerent in a year it doesn't require further for 2 years.

Lot of discussions on ac related issues and multiple experimental setups from local mechanics. I had cultus 2008 model and now own a 2014 model, both car's have good stock ac. The only thing is that it should have required amount of quality refrigerant. For cultus it should have 450gm of refrigerant and better to get it from suzuki authorized workshops as they have good equipment for service and refill.
As already mentioned by some PW member, cultus ac's performance is good at constant speed usually 30km-40km and above but less efficient on idling or in slow moving traffic in summer afternoons.
What most of the mechanics do is to pour the water on condenser to make it cool and charge a little bit of chinese version of refrigerant, will tell you the cooling is good and charge 2k-4k. In April, I visited one of 3s for scheduled checkup and also ac checkup, they plugged a machine and it showed the car has 300gm of gas. So they suggest me to add 150gm of gas with cost of Rs.1300. They vacuumed the system through the same machine and filled 450gm of gas. The ac is working well now. Giving away 40k-50k to local mechanics for experimental setups is not a wise idea.
