Hi guys, My cultus 2010 ac’s compressor makes this sound when its on and it turns on when I accelerate the car
The ac doesn’t even cool in traffic, it just blows a little cool air on higher speeds, I got it checked and the person says the compressor needs replacement, so how much will I get a compressor for and which company’s compressor should I get?

Get the stock Denso compressor of Cultus don't go for alteration that compressor work's great. If you have budget then i would recommend you to get a brand new compressor because that will serve you atleast 6-8 year's if installed correctly.
Other problem is that useless condenser fan and serpentine condenser in Cultus they are no good. You can get a Multiflow condenser from Baleno or even the one that came with early Cultus from factory and a good condenser fan and your cooling problem at standstill or while moving slowly will solve...

Choose the AC technician wisely from whom you are getting this work done.

Search for a thread A/C Problems in Karachi. In that thread some of good AC technicians shop names and locations have been shared.

Don't know the exact amounts but roughly for new part's it will cost you near to 20 thousand rupees.

Today I went to get an estimate
The ac technician said He will install karist/carist ac compressor, if anyone has heard about it or have installed it, is it actually good or not upto the mark? Help will be appreciated

Koi pata ni yeh konsa compressor hai. Compressor always new hi lagana chahiye wo bhi tab jab ziada ac waley kahen. Denso or sanden.

Aj tak 75% time issue resolve nhi hotey dekha after compressor replacement, because real issue was something else, which they could not figure out.

For how much would I get a Kabli Denso compressor, plus will the sanden compressor not be good for cultus? Ac tech said that

Bhai i believe your car has a Denso system as it's a 2010 and if the compressor hasn't been changed earlier then that should be a denso unit and i would recommend you to get a denso compressor instead of doing alterations.
Used denso compressor might cost you about 6 thousand rupees but used part's are always gamble...
That stock denso compressor is quite good.
You can use Sanden as well it's almost same but might require some alterations.

Yep it is a denso compressor
The ac technician said I should get a denso compressor which would cost 9000 rupees (kabli), or a mitsubishi one, wanted to confirm the price

Don't get that Mitsubishi one that us underpowered for car...

Try to overhaul ur current compressor from a good AC tech. Otherwise get used but same one in very good condition.

Thanks for the help guys, getting a denso compressor, The guy said its in v good condition(8500), A new geniune condensor(6500), complete service, new drier bottle, and Honeywell gas, Total of 20k including Radiator Flush and washed. I hope it cools as much as I want it to

New denso compressor is atleast for 14,000/-RS..
The rate you got for new compressor must be for thr Chinese replica...

Remember one thing it's not only the compressor which is responsible for cooling other components like condenser, condenser fan and evaporator are also equally responsible..

This is not a stock compressor it's a duet scroll type Denso compressor. Stock compressor is piston type Denso.
