Cultus Carburetor Choke

Hi guys

My cultus was doing very bad on Petrol (10 kmpl). I had its carburetor done from Badar Engineering in Pindi. Now my milage is 14kmpl on mix driving. MashaAllah.

However, since then, the car doesnt get any choke. Its an old cultus VXR non-efi and I need to keep my foot on the pedal or run it for 10 km until then engine dies on each clutch press.

What could be wrong? I really want a good cultus mechanic as well as your reference so that he knows I got connections.

Ur mechnaic must have by passed Auto Choke function. I was having same problem with my cultus but I got it fixed on my car last weekend. If u have some hands on experience go visit this thread & try to do it ur self. Thats one of the greatest thread on PW & seems to be Bible for Cultus Carby Owners.

The autochoke was fixed by Mushtaq Ustad (mechanic). Its in Akbar Market (near mareer chowk).
Definitely costly at 1200 but he opened and cleaned everything with petrol.
Works like a charm.

Brother, I am having the same issue with 05 Cultus Carby. I had its engine complete overhaul some 2000 kms ago. Even then mechanic was unable to completely fix the carb. And, all the vacuum hoses were a mess, as he couldnt properly figure out where they go, and had cut off the auto choke.

I had it services, new carb kit, new butterfly etc. but the average is just bad, jerks, unstable RPM, black some with petrol smell.

Can the mechanic you mentioned fix the problem? Can you give his phone number so I can call him up before hands, Thanks a lot.

sire in case of pak suzuki cultus there is no fixed mileage period IMO as its all about your cars engines condition and the way its maintained some people even get engine overhauled 50k-60k some after 1,50k.overhaul is dependent upon engine condition i.e weak ring/pistons , loss of compression etc ideally i think its around 150k+km . rest there are expert who might guide you better @agoodfriend @

dude i guess you have mistaken that fuel consumption milage i think OP means ODO meter mileage

in that case, cultus can go till 400,000km without an overhaul

Can you refer where is Badar Engineering in Rawalpindi? they have trained mechanics?
