Can power valve Of cultus carb be replaced.
Can it be opened easily or with the help of kharadia.
It seems to me that my carburetor’s power valve Is kept pressed by power piston because its spring is softer then power piston.
Thats why fuel consumption is high and plugs and silencer is black.

Bhai, take car to someone who can adjust carburetors... Your car is running too rich the air fuel mixture needs to be adjusted...

Sir I have been to carb specialists 4,5 times. They just disassemble clean and reassemble. They don’t know How to diagnose the problem. Some says your carb is 100 % ok. Other says you should buy new carb.
So I have opened my carb myself. Installed 80 number primary jet.
secondary jet and throttle is closed, power piston is cutted so it cannot press The power valve.
Now there is no sooting and silencer and plugs are clean. Fuel consumption is also very low.
Car can go up to 130 km/h gradually.
But there is loss of power where powervalve is needed to go mountain side roads.
One more problem which I can see is that there is a (oar) chappu type thing in primary air horn above I don’t know its name. Mechanic says its for directing air. Its is above air fuel mixture port inner side of airhorn outer side of primary ventury.
Fuel is leaking from this chappu. thats why mixture screw has no effect even fully seated engine keeps running.
It is requested not to send me to carb adjusters.
Please guide me I will try myself.

you can buy a new piston for the powervalve, i think it comes as part of rebuild kit.

i have not been able to get the actual powervalve out of carburetor body

I disabled it because I saw that its spring remains pressed due to power piston. It should press with vacuum power of power piston not with its spring.
I want to open powervalve and stretch or change its spring so it can pull power piston upward. How can it be removed.

I have got extra power piston. I will install it once I could repair the power valve.

I doubt that I was wrong about fuel leakage from Chappu. Actually I sprayed carb cleaner from that red circled path and it came out from Chappu. It must be for air to be sucked for mixture. Correct me if I am wrong.

It seems to me that problem is with power valve. Without power piston carb works great. No soot on spark plugs and silencer. Fuel economy is also good. But without power piston car jerks on acceleration and loss of power when climbing.

Another thing is that according sf310 the power piston should press the power valve when vacuum in the intake manifold falls. It seems that during normal running of engine the power piston stays pulled up by vacuum pressure. when vacuum falls due to load the spring in the power piston presses down the power valve to make the mixture richer. may be my spring is tight enough which keeps on pressing the power valve even in normal operation.

Aoa. I accidentally rotate this screw of my carburator without knowing the working of this screw.Can anybody tell me that how to adjust it?and also name of this screw.
