Is there any difference between the tappets of efi and no efi cultus?
which cultus type adjustment would be done by "kharadia" non-efi or efi?
They both have hydraulic lifters. They dont need to be adjusted.
the efi one is not hydaulic lifter - the carby one has hydaulic lifters which are good until they wear out or the valve seats wear out.
Kharadias work is needed in hydraulic tappets or other one
Cultus gave hydraulic tappets in non efi model. they adjust themselves which are not suitable. in the recent efi engine, suzuki shifted to the old technology again. non hydraulic tappets are adjusted manually by a mechanic.
But mechanic was saying we will get tappet adjusted from kharadia if ur Cultus need tappet adjustment Am not understanding the role of kharadia in tappet adjustment
yes bro ur mechanic is right..when engine gets warm turn off ignition, open head cover and try to press the hydraulic lifters, they should be hard and not pressed easily..if any of them is soft u need to replace it,i would suggest if 3 or more are pressed easily then replace all 6..now job of kharadia starts. He will adjust cam according to the tappets and put back in and u r good to go..use always 10W40 oil in case of engine with hydraulic lifters..
and that is true about both efi and non-efi cultus?
your lovely kharadia grinds the valve stems to compensate for seat wear - this is not good practice. Replace the valve seats if they have sunk.
Replace the tappets with brand new parts.
only valid for the 3 cyl engine, not the 4 cyl EFI engine.
replacing the tappets will also require cam to be replaced??
For non efi only
